Summary: In this study, two new species, Haploporus ecuadorensis from Ecuador and H. monomitica from China, were described and illustrated based on morphological examination and phylogenetic analyses. H. ecuadorensis is characterized by several features, such as annual, resupinate basidiomata, pinkish buff to honey yellow hymenophore when dry, round to angular pores, and various hyphal structures. Haploporus monomitica differs from other Haploporus species in its monomitic hyphal system and strongly dextrinoid basidiospores. An updated key to 27 species of Haploporus is also provided.

Summary: The new hyphomycetous fungus Sporidesmiella lignicola was isolated and identified from submerged wood samples collected in a small stream in Jiangxi Province, China. It was characterized by its pink colonies on PDA medium and unique morphological features, such as unbranched, straight or slightly flexuous conidiophores with pale brown conidiogenous cells and olivaceous brown or brown conidia. Phylogenetic analysis using LSU, ITS, TEF1 alpha, and RPB2 sequences data was conducted to further study the taxonomic relationship of this new fungus.

Summary: This study focuses on the polypores with shallow pores from tropical Asia and America. The molecular phylogeny based on multiple genes reveals the formation of six clades among Porogramme and related genera. Two new genera, Cyanoporus and Pseudogrammothele, are established, and the six clades represent distinct lineages. The divergence times of these lineages are estimated to be earlier than 50 Mya, and three new species in Porogramme are confirmed both morphologically and phylogenetically.

Summary: Two species morphologically resembling Diatrype s. str. were found in the monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forest in Pu'er, Yunnan, China. DNA sequence analysis confirmed that these species belong to Allodiatrype s. str. and are distinct from other species, resulting in their introduction as new species A. taiyangheensis and A. albelloscutata. These two species are the second records of Allodiatrype in China.

Summary: Brown-rot fungi are important for forest ecosystems as they degrade wood cellulose and hemicellulose, and contribute to nutrient cycling. Recent studies have shown that the ability to produce brown rot has evolved independently multiple times. This study focuses on the classification and phylogenetic relationships of brown-rot fungi within the Polyporales, based on DNA sequences from various loci. The study proposes new families, genera, species, and combinations, and provides illustrations and descriptions for the new species.

Summary: This study investigated the bioactive components and antioxidant activities of various species of Sanghuangporus fungi. The results showed that the antioxidant capacity of Sanghuangporus is closely related to the contents of flavonoid and ascorbic acid, followed by polyphenol and triterpenoid, and finally, polysaccharide. These findings provide important resources and guidance for the separation, purification, and development of bioactive agents from wild Sanghuangporus species, as well as the optimization of their artificial cultivation conditions.
