Summary: The study confirmed a significant correlation between active MRI pre-pregnancy and post-partum relapse, as well as a correlation between pre-pregnancy EDSS and post-partum relapse. Using a multivariate model, it was predicted that women with certain pre-pregnancy characteristics will not experience post-partum relapses.

Summary: This study examined the impact of post-retirement work on depression among older adults, with adaptation ability as a moderator. The results showed that older adults with limited adaptation ability experienced reduced depression if they worked, while those with stronger adaptation ability experienced increased depression if they worked. These findings were confirmed through a robustness check. The study suggests that post-retirement work does not necessarily prevent depression, and its effects depend on individuals' adaptation ability.

Summary: Inaccurate counting of infection cases in vaccine efficacy trials can lead to underestimation of vaccine efficacy. To address this issue, we propose a range of replicate testing strategies that can reduce dilution of efficacy caused by false positives. These strategies are beneficial in clinical trials and public health screening to prevent unnecessary impacts from false positives.

Summary: In women undergoing pre-labor cesarean section, prophylactic oxytocin administration before or after fetal delivery showed no significant differences in postpartum hemorrhage, nausea/vomiting, blood transfusion, or hysterectomy. However, earlier administration reduced blood loss volume and need for additional uterotonics. Limited evidence suggests no significant differences between prophylactic oxytocin administration before or after placental separation on PPH, need for additional uterotonic, or nausea/vomiting.

Summary: The POPARTMUS trial aimed to compare the annualized relapse rate in women treated with NOMAc and E2 after childbirth, but recruitment was prematurely stopped due to slow inclusions. The results showed that the combination did not have efficacy in preventing post-partum relapses.

Summary: Expansion of land-based systems in fish farms raises the level of metabolic carbon dioxide (CO2) in the water. High CO2 can increase bone mineralization in Atlantic salmon. Low dietary phosphorus (P) can halt bone mineralization. This study shows that high CO2 can counteract reduced bone mineralization imposed by low dietary P intake.

Summary: Breastfeeding is crucial for the growth and development of preterm infants, and exclusive breastfeeding in the first 6 weeks post-partum is essential for its continuity. This study examined factors influencing breastfeeding attrition among mothers of preterm infants at Week 6 post-partum, using the theory of planned behaviour. Through an analysis of relevant factors and the construction of a nomogram model, it was found that negative breastfeeding sentiment increased the risk of attrition, while positive sentiment, social and professional support, breastfeeding control, knowledge, and intention to exclusively breastfeed at Week 6 post-partum were protective factors. The nomogram model demonstrated promising predictive accuracy and discrimination.

Summary: Ilbank, as a midsized public development bank in Turkey, plays a crucial role in financing water provision. However, its potential to expand its role is limited due to recent revisions of its mandate, attempts to divert its resources, and its undemocratic structure. A reformed and democratized Ilbank could be a crucial player in building an integrated water and sanitation system management for Turkey.

Summary: In southeastern India, post-COVID-19 black fungus infections are increasing in medically compromised individuals, mainly due to immunocompromised state, diabetes, and steroid therapy. Dentists can play a crucial role in early detection and prevention of black fungus by observing intra-oral signs such as tooth mobility. Evidence-based preventive approaches highlighted in this review can help reduce morbidity and mortality associated with black fungus in post-COVID-19 patients. Regular dental check-ups are essential for preventing and early diagnosing secondary fungal infections in these patients, significantly reducing morbidity.
