We present a Revised IRAS-FSC Redshift Catalogue (RIFSCz) of 60 303 galaxies selected at 60 mu m from the IRAS Faint Source Catalog (FSC). This revision merges in data from the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer All-Sky Data Release, the tenth Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release (DR10), the GALEX All-Sky Survey Source Catalog (GASC), the 2MASS Redshift Survey (2MRS) and the Planck Catalogue of Compact Sources (PCCS). The RIFSCz consists of position, ultraviolet (UV), optical, near-, mid- and far-infrared, sub-millimetre (sub-mm) and radio identifications, spectroscopic or photometric redshift, predicted fluxes from 12 to 1380 mu m based on the best-fitting infrared template. We provide stellar masses, star formation rates and dust masses derived from the optical and infrared template fits, where possible. 56 per cent of the RIFSCz galaxies have spectroscopic redshifts and a further 26 per cent have photometric redshifts from the template-fitting method. At S60 > 0.36 Jy, the 90 per cent completeness limit, 93 per cent of the RIFSCz sources have spectroscopic or photometric redshifts. An interesting subset is the sources detected by Planck at sub-mm wavelengths. 1200 sources have detections at > 5 sigma and a further 1186 sources have detections at 3-5 sigma in at least one Planck band.

A natural boundary of dark matter haloes revealed around the minimum bias and maximum infall locations

Summary: Through analyzing the bias and velocity profiles, it was found that there is a ubiquitous trough in the bias profile, which is likely created by halo accretion depleting material around the boundary. The inner depletion radius, marking the active depletion region, separates a growing halo from the draining environment and is important for studying halo properties. The characteristic depletion radius, which depends most on halo mass and environment, is approximately 2.5 times the virial radius and encloses a specific density region independent on halo mass but dependent on other halo properties.

The Stellar Mass in and around Isolated Central Galaxies: Connections to the Total Mass Distribution through Galaxy-Galaxy Lensing in the Hyper Suprime-Cam Survey

Summary: Using photometrically selected galaxies from the Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) survey, the study measured the stellar-mass density profiles for satellite galaxies around isolated central galaxies (ICGs) and their stellar halos. It was found that the total mass distributions are dominated by ICGs within about 0.15 times the halo virial radius. The study also showed that the integrated stellar mass in satellites is proportional to the virial mass of the host halo for ICGs more massive than 10^(10.5) M (circle dot), and that red ICGs tend to be hosted by more massive dark matter halos and have more satellites.

A sparse regression approach to modelling the relation between galaxy stellar masses and their host haloes

The model accurately reproduces the stellar mass function and central galaxy correlation function in EAGLE simulations with a root mean square error of 0.167log(10) (M*/M_sun), demonstrating promising potential for populating galaxies in dark matter-only simulations.

The Universal Specific Merger Rate of Dark Matter Halos

First measurement of the characteristic depletion radius of dark matter haloes from weak lensing

A machine learning approach to infer the accreted stellar mass fractions of central galaxies in the TNG100 simulation

Mining the Information Content of Member Galaxies in Halo Mass Modeling

Summary: Motivated by previous findings, this study systematically investigates the information content of different member galaxies in the modeling of host halo mass using a machine-learning approach. The results confirm that the inclusion of additional satellite galaxies improves the estimation of halo mass, with the best combination being the central galaxy with the most massive satellite and the smallest satellite. Furthermore, the combination of a central galaxy and two or three satellite galaxies gives a near-optimal estimation of halo mass, and the addition of more galaxies does not increase the precision of the prediction.

Summary: This study constructs mock member stars for 28 dwarf galaxies using the cosmological auriga simulation and applies JAM modeling to recover the underlying matter distribution. The total profile is reasonably constrained, with the tightest recovery of the mass within the half-mass radius. The biases in mass estimation correlate with the dynamical status, driven by contraction motions in quiescent systems or galactic winds in star-forming systems.

Physical Evolution of Dark Matter Halo around the Depletion Boundary

Summary: We investigated the growth of halo profiles and the role of depletion radii in a cosmological simulation. Our results show that halo growth is accompanied by the depletion of the environment, with the inner depletion radius marking the transition. We found that the ratio between the inner depletion radius and the virial radius remains constant across redshifts and halo masses.

Summary: This study presents investigations on the CP violation and anomalous couplings of the Higgs boson with vector bosons and fermions, using data from the CMS experiment at the LHC. The results are consistent with the standard model of particle physics.
