Summary: Flares play a significant role in the evolution of young planet atmospheres. Young M-stars are particularly active, making it important to study their flare activity in order to understand planet evolution. Research on the highly active M-star 2MASSJ16111534-1757214 in the Upper Sco OB association revealed its frequency and distribution of flares, showing similarity to other M-stars in the region.

Summary: The magnetic activity and flare characteristics of subgiant stars, particularly those of F and G spectral types, differ significantly from main-sequence stars due to deepening of the convective zone and more vigorous magnetic field production leading to increased relative coverage and contrast of magnetic features. Unlike main-sequence stars, magnetic activity of F and G-type subgiant stars does not depend on rotation rate and does not follow the saturation regime.

Summary: In this study, we conducted a thorough seismic analysis of MC 8264293, a fast-rotating B-type pulsator observed by the Kepler satellite. By fitting the period spacing and considering the position of the star in the HR diagram, we constrained the internal structure and physical parameters of the star. We found that the star is very young and has not yet left the zero-age main sequence. The star's photometric variability is mainly due to its pulsations in high-order g modes, as well as the fluctuation in its circumstellar disc.

Summary: The study of detached eclipsing binaries in open clusters is important for testing theoretical stellar evolutionary models. This study analyzes three spectroscopic binaries in NGC 6791 and determines their orbital and physical parameters, as well as the temperatures and metallicities of each component. The high-precision analysis also allows for the determination of the evolutionary status of the components and the detection of solar-like oscillation signals in one of the members.

Summary: This study used the Sun as a star analogue to analyze the light curve of the Sun-like star KIC 2852336 and found Rieger cycles. The research demonstrates that Rieger-type cycles can be used to probe the dynamo magnetic field in other solar-type stars, and that the ratio of dynamo magnetic field strength may be conserved during different phases of stellar evolution.

Summary: This study investigates the relationship between current sheet dynamics and solar flare initiation through observations of flare ribbons, spatial scale growth, and nonthermal velocities. Evidence of the tearing mode instability triggering plasma turbulence power spectrum is provided by analyzing these observations.

Summary: Observations of solar flare ribbons show significant fine structure, such as breaking wavelike perturbations and spirals. It is suggested that this structure is related to tearing instability in the flare current sheet, with a direct link between flare ribbon fine structure and tearing modes. The size, location, and twist of small-scale flux ropes can influence the formation of wavelike and spiral features within the flare ribbon.

Summary: Studying cool star magnetic activity provides insights into the stellar dynamo and its connection with stellar properties, helping us understand the Sun's magnetism in relation to other stars. Research on HD75332 suggests the presence of a rapid solar-like magnetic cycle, possibly linked to its formation mechanisms.

Summary: Asteroseismic scaling relations can provide high-precision measurements of mass and radius for red giant stars. This study explores the discrepancies between asteroseismic measurements and dynamical measurements in the binary system KIC 8430105. The results show that the uncorrected scaling relations overestimate the mass and radius, but a theoretical correction to Delta nu can improve the consistency between asteroseismic and dynamical measurements.

Summary: LAMOST spectra and Kepler light curves were utilized to investigate the detached eclipsing binary KIC 8098300, revealing the O'Connell effect due to spot/facula modulation. Precise parameters of the orbit, masses, and radii were obtained by optimizing the binary model, providing insights into the differences in spot behavior between binaries and single stars. This method can be applied to analyze more eclipsing binaries with the O'Connell effect in the Kepler field for a deeper understanding of stellar magnetic activity and dynamo theory.

Summary: By using the analytical solution of the heat diffusion equation, the thermal stress tensor components of ice bodies with radii ranging from 10 m to 10 km can be calculated. As these bodies approach a star in high-eccentricity orbits, compressive stresses on the surface increase, leading to increased tensile stresses in the interior and ultimately causing catastrophic destruction. The infalling thermally destroyed body (ITDB) mechanism is capable of explaining both short-term and long-term photometric behavior of KIC 8462852.
