Summary: The flavonoid compound quercetin 3-O-(6 ''-O-E-caffeoyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (CC7) promotes melanogenesis in B16 cells by activating the expression of key regulatory factors and enzymes involved in melanin synthesis. This effect is mediated through the phosphorylation of p38, JNK, and Akt/GSK-3 beta/beta-catenin signaling pathways.

Summary: The aim of this study was to optimize the maximum yield of eupalitin-3-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside from Boerhavia diffusa leaves and demonstrate its hepatoprotective benefits. The study successfully developed a validation and quantification method for eupalitin-3-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside using response surface methodology and Box-Behnken experimental design.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the Quercetin-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosiderich fraction (Q3G-RF) from Spondias mombin leaves has a neuroprotective effect on oxidative and neuronal damages caused by dichlorvos (DDVP) in the brain of rats, potentially due to its potent antioxidant, prophylactic, and chemotherapeutic properties.

Summary: M3G treatment stimulates osteoblast differentiation and inhibits adipocyte differentiation in hBM-MSCs, respectively through the Wnt/BMP and PPAR gamma pathways. These findings suggest the therapeutic potential of M3G in regulating bone marrow stromal cell differentiation for osteoporosis treatment.

Summary: This study established a method to analyze the chemical constituents of Ginkgo Amillaria oral solution (GAO) and identified 62 compounds in it. In vitro experiments showed that GAO had a significant inhibitory effect on UGT1A9 and UGT2B7. Pharmacokinetic studies demonstrated that co-administration of Piceatannol-3'-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside for injection (PGI) with GAO significantly increased the AUC and T-1/2 of PGI in vivo, while decreasing its CL.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the potential effect of piceatannol-3 '-O-beta-D glucopyranoside (PG) on colistin-induced neurotoxicity and the underlying mechanism. The findings showed that PG significantly reduced colistin-induced neuronal apoptosis levels and mitigated colistin-induced oxidative stress-associated injury and mitochondrial damage by activating the NRF2/HO-1 pathway, thus reducing nerve cell apoptosis.

Summary: The study showed that rhein-8-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (Rg) can inhibit the growth and biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans, without affecting monocyte viability. Following Rg treatment, the expression levels of key genes in S. mutans biofilms decreased significantly.

Summary: In this study, new beta-lactamase inhibitors were identified by virtually screening phytocompounds from two Indian medicinal plants. Pinocembrin-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (P7G) and ellagic acid (EA) exhibited lower binding energy than moxalactam. Molecular dynamics simulations and binding free energy calculations revealed that P7G formed the most stable complex with beta-lactamase and showed drug-like properties. P7G from Acacia pennata was identified as the most promising phytocompound to combat antibiotic resistance by potentially inhibiting the beta-lactamase of P. aeruginosa.

Summary: Quercetin, a potential therapeutic substance, has shown protective effects against cisplatin nephrotoxicity in rats. However, its low bioavailability limits its clinical utility. A newly-developed P-quercetin formulation with enhanced solubility and bioavailability also showed no nephroprotection when administered orally. Further investigation revealed that the metabolite of quercetin may be responsible for the nephroprotective effects, and quercetin-3-O-glucuronide was the only metabolite partially preventing the cytotoxic effects of cisplatin in cultured tubule cells.

Summary: This study demonstrates the critical role of the combination treatment with emodin and 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (TSG) in Polygoni Multiflori Radix (PMR)-induced liver injury. Emodin is identified as the major contributor to the hepatotoxicity, and the presence of TSG enhances the hepatotoxicity of emodin by increasing its hepatic exposure and disrupting bile acid homeostasis. This study provides important insights into the mechanism of PMR-induced liver injury.
