Summary: Clinical simulation has experienced enormous growth in the last two decades and has become the main teaching method in the training of healthcare professionals. It aligns with new paradigms in education and supports the use of experiential learning. Clinical simulation promotes the development of psychomotor skills and enhances executive functions. It has versatile applications in healthcare and is particularly relevant in situations where access to clinical settings is restricted, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic or in reducing accidents caused by errors in clinical practice.

Summary: Selection in medical education and training is crucial and needs to be robust, fair, and cost-effective. However, there is a lack of comprehensive guidelines for setting up or improving the selection process. To address this, our guide provides practical advice based on research, international case studies, and common dilemmas. We use the ADDIE model to frame the activities involved in designing, implementing, and evaluating an effective medical school selection system.

Summary: Plate tectonics is a theory about the movement of the Earth's crust, with the crust being divided into different plates that move relative to each other. This theory explains the processes of continental drift, seafloor spreading, and lithospheric subduction, and how they shape the Earth's surface over time.

Summary: Global forests have been a net carbon sink over the past two decades, with an estimated annual net carbon uptake ranging from -7.6 +/- 49 GtCO(2)e. The study integrates ground and Earth observation data to map forest-related greenhouse gas emissions and removals globally, aiming to support the development of climate policies. This geospatial monitoring framework introduced in the research aims to promote consistency and transparency in climate policy development.

Summary: The forthcoming paradigm of Mass-Individualisation combines the low-cost advantage of Mass-Production with the buyer's individual need for specific products. Buyers initiate the product and its features, and manufacturers build it at low cost in local factories with rapid communication. This paradigm requires innovation in product development, manufacturing system design, system operations, and business strategies.

Summary: The study found that glaciers around the world are melting at an accelerated rate, with contrasting patterns of mass loss in different geographical regions. Overall, glaciers are losing mass more rapidly, with similar or even larger acceleration rates than Greenland or Antarctic ice sheets taken separately. These findings also highlight the importance of understanding drivers that influence glacier change to predict future changes and mitigate the impacts of sea-level rise.

Summary: Efficient statistical emulation of melting land ice under various climate scenarios to 2100 indicates a contribution of at least 13 centimetres sea level equivalent. Limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius would halve the land ice contribution to twenty-first-century sea level rise, with glaciers responsible for half the sea level contribution. Uncertainties in the Antarctic contribution suggest a factor-of-three uncertainty in the land ice contribution until climate policies and the Antarctic response are further constrained.

Summary: This article investigates international students' needs, expectations, and experiences regarding their learning environments. A theoretical framework is established, and students' perspectives are categorized into dimensions. The results show that students' needs and expectations can be summarized into three key domains: goal direction, relationships, and supporting services. Many studies cover these three domains, providing guidance for educational institutions to optimize learning environments for international students.
