Summary: This study investigated the effectiveness and safety of combining GnRHa with rhGH in the treatment of girls with CPP. The results showed that the combination therapy produced better height gains, suppressed the gonadal axis, delayed bone age progression, and had good safety and efficacy.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog (GnRHa) on final height (FH) in children with central precocious puberty (CPP) and identified factors that predict FH. The results showed that using body weight-adjusted GnRHa dosing can delay the onset of menarche and reach target height. However, individualized decision-making remains challenging in therapeutic intervention.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the impact of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (GnRHa) on final adult height (FAH) in girls with early and fast puberty. The results showed that GnRHa treatment can restore the target height in some girls with poor height development, especially those with predicted adult height lower than 153 cm and shorter than their target height. Younger age at initiation of treatment and faster growth velocity during treatment are associated with better height gain.

Summary: The aim of this study was to develop a model for predicting the adult height (AH) of girls with idiopathic central precocious puberty (ICPP) who received gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog (GnRHa) treatment. A unique model based on multiple linear regression was developed and verified using data from 258 girls with ICPP. The model incorporated variables of height SDS, height SDS for bone age, and target height, and showed good discrimination and calibration in both internal and external validation.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of GnRHas in the treatment of idiopathic central precocious puberty (ICPP) in girls. The results showed that BMI at diagnosis and transient metabolic complications during treatment did not impact the long-term outcomes of GnRHas therapy.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of monotherapy with AIs or GnRHa in improving the height of boys with idiopathic short stature (ISS). The results revealed that both AI and GnRHa treatments were effective in increasing the final height compared to placebo groups. However, there was no statistical difference between the GnRHa and AI treatments.

Summary: This study investigated the long-term efficacy and safety of GnRHa treatment in children with idiopathic CPP, finding that it increased final adult height and decreased BMI in girls, without significantly affecting the incidence of PCOS. Evidence on other long-term outcomes was considered weak, necessitating further high-quality research to draw firm conclusions.

Summary: This article introduces the use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (GnRHa's) as the standard treatment for central precocious puberty (CPP) in children. It provides data on different GnRHa options and discusses factors that influence treatment selection. Physicians and caregivers can choose the most appropriate therapy based on the specific needs and concerns of the child and the caregiver, considering factors such as route of administration, needle size, injection volume, duration of action, and cost.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of combined treatment with growth hormone (GH) and gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) in early pubertal girls with a poor predicted adult height (PAH), compared to matched controls. The results showed that the combination treatment resulted in a significant increase in adult height (AH) compared to historical controls, indicating its potential effectiveness and safety for improving height in pubertal girls.

Summary: The consumption of nonnutritive sweeteners (NNS) is increasing worldwide, and a study has found that acesulfame potassium (AceK), one of the most widely used NNS, is associated with an increased risk of precocious puberty in girls. Animal studies have also shown that AceK ingestion can accelerate puberty onset and increase the expression of brain gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Cellular experiments have revealed that AceK treatment can increase reactive oxygen species production, activate protein kinase A (PKA), and increase the expression of GnRH.

Summary: This study assessed the prevalence of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in adolescent girls with a history of idiopathic central precocious puberty (ICPP), compared to healthy adolescents. It also evaluated the prevalence of PCOS among ICPP girls who received or did not receive gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue (GnRHa) treatment. The results showed that girls with a history of ICPP had a 2.5 times higher risk of developing PCOS compared to healthy adolescents, and this risk was not influenced by GnRHa treatment.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist treatment in preserving final height in patients with central precocious puberty (CPP) or early puberty (EP). Medical records of 40 CPP patients and 206 EP patients were retrospectively analyzed. Predicted adult height (PAH) was measured at baseline, after treatment completion, and at final follow-up. Both CPP and EP groups showed significantly increased PAH after treatment, with no difference in the amount of increase between groups.
