Students aiming for good grades should use strategic study behaviors and avoid surface approach behaviors. However, the impact of NNESTs' language competency on higher education systems remains under-examined, particularly in terms of students' perceptions. This study explores students' views on NNESTs' language proficiency through classroom observations and interviews. The findings highlight the importance of considering factors beyond language proficiency in enhancing students' learning effectiveness.

Summary: This study aimed to identify influencing factors for medical students' perceptions of the medical school learning environment. Significant predictors such as gender, university category, grade, mother education level were found to be associated with medical students' perceptions. The establishment of nomograms showed promising predictive accuracy, discrimination, and accordance with the model. It is essential to implement corresponding interventions to improve medical students' perceptions of the learning environment.
