Summary: This large-scale survey confirmed the high prevalence of menopause-related and genitourinary symptoms in postmenopausal women within the first 10-15 years after menopause, as well as the very low percentage of menopause hormone therapy (MHT) users in France. Therefore, it is important to educate the public and healthcare providers about menopause-related issues and potential solutions, including MHT.

Summary: The study found that the prevalence of symptoms in Taiwanese women calling a menopause hotline increased with the progress of menopausal stages, with memory loss, fatigue, insomnia, depressed mood, and back pain being the top five reported symptoms. Women with higher education levels, who were single, had no children, were not experiencing the empty-nest phenomenon, were employed, had no chronic diseases, were premenopausal, had never received hormone therapy, and had not visited medical facilities scored the lowest in menopause/midlife symptoms. Postmenopausal women had the most severe symptoms compared to premenopausal and perimenopausal women, highlighting the need for a menopause consultation hotline and support for postmenopausal women to alleviate symptoms.

Summary: The survey indicates that young adults of both sexes have a general baseline knowledge of menopause and its symptoms and are open to learning strategies to help support menopausal women. These findings will aid in developing targeted educational resources to increase social support and awareness, reduce stigma, improve the quality of life for menopausal women, and help younger women prepare for their future menopausal journey.

Summary: The objective of this study was to determine treatment priorities in women cancer patients attending a dedicated Menopausal Symptoms After Cancer service. Cancer type and stage were identified from medical records, and patients ranked their top three treatment priorities from a list of symptoms. The leading treatment priorities were vasomotor symptoms, fatigue, sexual problems, and vaginal dryness/soreness. Understanding symptom severity and patient priorities will improve care for this growing population.

Summary: This study aims to evaluate the relationship between menopausal symptoms and sleep quality in women during the climacteric period. The findings suggest that women in this period experience poor sleep quality, and there is a significant relationship between their perceived sleep quality and their somatic and psychological symptoms. The study suggests the importance of providing training and consulting services to women in order to improve their sleep quality by managing their somatic and psychological symptoms.

Summary: The cardioprotective capacity of HDL cholesterol postmenopause has been challenged as HDL subclasses, lipid contents, and function have been found to be better predictors of cardiovascular risk than HDL cholesterol. Changes in these measures have not been characterized over the menopause transition with respect to timing relative to the final menstrual period.

Summary: Menopause is a physiological change in women, but its symptoms can be difficult to accept and hormone therapy may not always be desirable. Vitamin E, as a phytoestrogen, is believed to be useful in alleviating some menopausal symptoms. This review aimed to assess the effectiveness of vitamin E in alleviating menopausal symptoms and found that it influences hot flashes, vascular modulation, lipid profile, and vaginal changes. However, estrogen administration has better clinical effects. Additional high-quality data is needed for conclusive findings.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess the correlation between menopausal symptoms and pain caused by temporomandibular disorder (TMD) and the impact of sociodemographic factors on this association. The results showed that TMD-induced pain and menopausal symptoms were correlated, especially during the late menopausal transition. Additionally, sociodemographic factors, such as schooling, had a major influence on symptoms in early postmenopause.
