The dynamic globularization kinetics of BT25 titanium alloy during deformation at temperature range of 940-1000 degrees C and strain rate range of 0.01-10 s(-1) was quantitatively characterized and investigated. The results show that the globularized volume fractions and kinetics rate were fairly sensitive to the various deformation conditions. The strains for initiation and completion of dynamic globularization were predicted through the fitting curves at different processing conditions. The globularized process is restricted by the rate of migration of intraphase boundary. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
