A new species of white-toothed shrew, Crocidura phuquocensis, is described from Phu Quoc Island, southern Vietnam. The species is diagnosed on the basis of external and cranial morphology. Comparisons are provided with other species of Crocidura known to occur in Vietnam. The new species is the only soricid currently known to occur on Phu Quoc Island.
