Summary: This study aimed to investigate the effect of repeated low-dose methotrexate (MTX) on rat kidneys and assess the efficacy of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in attenuating this effect. The results showed that repeated low-dose MTX administration resulted in renal tissue toxicity and deterioration of renal function in rats, which were attenuated by PRP and AD-MSCs through their anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and anti-fibrotic properties.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of apigenin on gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity. The results showed that apigenin administration could alleviate kidney impairments, enhance antioxidant capacity, and suppress renal inflammation and apoptosis. The findings suggest that apigenin treatment may be beneficial in alleviating gentamicin-induced renal impairments.

Summary: This study demonstrated that Daphnetin can protect against Gentamicin-induced nephrotoxicity by ameliorating renal injury and attenuating cell damage. Daphnetin regulates oxidative stress and apoptosis by upregulating the expression of Nrf2 and its regulated antioxidant enzymes, thereby reducing oxidative stress and cell damage caused by Gentamicin.

Summary: Carvacrol (CRV) has been shown to modulate cadmium (Cd)-induced toxic effects on liver and kidney tissues by enhancing antioxidant enzymes' activities and reversing changes in inflammatory biomarkers and apoptotic genes. Additionally, CRV treatment reduced Cd content and increased levels of essential minerals in tissues, suggesting it as a promising strategy to protect against Cd-induced oxidative damage, inflammation, and apoptosis.

Summary: It has been discovered that diabetes can negatively impact male reproductive function by inhibiting the secretion of male accessory glands, including seminal vesicles. This study examines the effect of quercetin, a powerful antioxidant bioflavonoid, on cell apoptosis in seminal vesicles and its underlying mechanism. The results suggest that quercetin may ameliorate oxidative stress-induced cell apoptosis in seminal vesicles by inhibiting Nrf2 in type 1 diabetic rats, thus potentially preventing lesions in the seminal vesicles caused by type 1 diabetes.

Summary: Methotrexate has toxic effects on the hippocampus, cerebellum, liver, and kidneys, inducing neural tissue damage, hepatocyte degeneration, renal corpuscle distortion, and renal tubule necrosis. Immunohistochemical and biochemical studies revealed strong positive expressions of certain markers and significant changes in serum levels of key indicators, indicating oxidative stress-induced tissue injury leading to neurotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, and nephrotoxicity.

Summary: The study found that high-dose Realgar increased blood urea nitrogen and induced the formation of tube cast in renal tubules, while low-dose Realgar had no effect. Proteomic analysis indicated that Realgar affected apoptosis and oxidative stress. Verification of protein expressions suggested that Realgar-induced nephrotoxicity might be related to apoptosis and oxidative stress.
