EVs have been found to play a role in the pathophysiology of PH, including as potential biomarkers and participants in disease progression pathways.

Further investigation of therapeutic approaches is needed to develop tailored treatments for this patient population.

We provide an overview of glutamine metabolism and summarize relevant studies on how it affects CSCs in solid tumors. Glutamine in CSCs contributes to various metabolic pathways and plays a key role in epigenetic modifications. The tumor microenvironment, including cancer-associated fibroblasts, adipocytes, and senescent cells, can indirectly influence CSC fate through modulation of glutamine availability.

Summary: Liver fibrosis is a major cause of chronic liver disease, with significant morbidity, mortality, and healthcare expenditure worldwide. This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between hyaluronic acid (HA) and 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OH vitamin D) serum levels as markers of fibrosis. The results showed that patients with liver disease had significantly reduced 25-OH vitamin D levels and elevated HA levels, both of which correlated with the degree of liver fibrosis.
