Summary: The interpretation of TP53 variants is challenging, especially in patients with attenuated LFS. A study in the Hungarian population of cancer patients found a high prevalence of pathogenic/likely pathogenic TP53 variants. The study highlights the importance of focused interpretation as automatic classification systems do not apply TP53-specific criteria.

Summary: The study evaluated adherence to standard clinical practice for patients undergoing prostate cancer radiotherapy in four European countries using clinical audits. While overall adherence was satisfactory, substantial inter-centre variability was found in variables such as staging MRI and time elapsed between initial visit to treatment initiation. The most common deviation from standard practice was inconsistent data registration, highlighting the importance of clinical audits in detecting deviations from standard clinical practices.

Summary: This review highlights the crucial role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in cancer formation and spread, and how they affect tumor growth through communication with surrounding cells. Understanding the mechanisms of EVs formation and cargo sorting is important for understanding carcinogenesis and may lead to the discovery of new biomarkers in liquid biopsy and the development of tumor-specific therapies.
