Summary: This systematic review summarizes the evidence from in vitro studies on the effect of different glass ceramic processing methods on the bond strength to resin-based luting agents. The findings suggest that ceramics processed by CAD-CAM method generally have higher bond strength to resin-based materials compared to heat-pressing or layering processing methods.

Summary: This study introduces a carbonated consolidation process using low-rank semi-coke to transform potassium feldspar into water-soluble potassium fertilizer. The addition of PF to formed coke not only increases its calorific value and reduces pollutant emissions, but also achieves a high leaching rate of potassium at a low temperature.

Summary: In this paper, high value-added molecular sieves were prepared by extracting valuable components from low-temperature burned potassium feldspar with KOH as additive. The best roasting conditions for extracting SiO2 from potassium feldspar were determined through experiments. The reaction process was found to be a mixed control of chemical control and diffusion control, and a kinetic equation was obtained. Finally, a W-type molecular sieve was synthesized with specific properties.

Summary: In this paper, a hydrometallurgy process was investigated for recovering rare earths (REs) and niobium (Nb) from a potash feldspar ore beneficiation tailings. The REs and Nb could be leached from the tailings by sulfuric acid roasting-water leaching process, with leaching rates reaching 89.9% and 80.6% respectively. The REs were removed from the leaching liquor using HF and the rare earths fluoride (REF3) with a purity of 60.51% was obtained. Nb was recovered by solvent extraction with a Nb extraction rate of 99.59%, and Nb2O5 products with a Nb2O5 content of 87.61% were obtained through ammonia precipitation-roasting process.

Summary: This study creatively prepared high-value molecular sieves from roasted clinker obtained by calcining potash feldspar with NaOH-Na2CO3 mixed alkali as an auxiliary agent. The extraction and preparation process were optimized, resulting in X-type molecular sieves with good pore structure and characteristics.

Summary: A novel dry vibrating high-gradient magnetic separator (DVHGMS) has been developed for purification of potash feldspar by eliminating iron ores. The vibration significantly helped to eliminate particle aggregation and improve the separation, making it an efficient magnetic separator for mines in drought regions.

Summary: The study developed a mortar using feldspar as a fine aggregate, which exhibited higher compressive strength compared to conventional plastering sand-based mortar and improved water tightness. The feldspar-based mortar can reduce cement dependency and be tailored to project requirements, potentially serving as an eco-friendly building material.

Summary: Feldspars are common minerals in the Earth's crust and synthesizing them has been a challenge, requiring high pressures, high temperatures, and hydrothermal environments. This paper introduces a method for albite synthesis that does not require high-pressure environments, allowing for controlled elemental substitutions.

Summary: This study aims to evaluate the process of synthesizing potassium-based geopolymers into leucite ceramics under various conditions, revealing the reaction mechanisms and characteristics of the KGL network. The results show that an adequate curing time can enhance material properties and form a more stable structure. By analyzing the variables, the optimal combination for forming the purest leucite phase was identified.

Summary: The study focused on processing K-bearing rocks to make potassium accessible to agriculture, resulting in the successful production of two types of KAlSiO4. By comparing the crystal structures of the two types of KAlSiO4, the research highlighted the importance of effective utilization of aluminosilicate minerals in nature. Additionally, the study adopted a kinetics model to describe the dissolution behavior, revealing the higher dissolution reaction rate of K-feldspar mainly relies on the alkaline solution.

Summary: Leucititic rocks with K-foiditic composition play a significant role in the Colli Albani volcanic district, indicating the presence of large explosive eruptions fed by K-foiditic magma chambers. The pre-eruptive magmatic system in Colli Albani is characterized by a(H2O) < 1 and high CO2 activity. Studies on the glasses and minerals from K-foiditic scoria clasts provide insights into the assimilation processes and differentiation of magmas in the area.

Summary: Potassium is the third crucial macronutrient required for plant development and growth. It is predominantly present in soluble form in soil evaporite deposits found in countries like Canada, Belarus, Israel, USA, and Russia. Other countries depend on imports from these countries to meet their potash requirement. However, a significant amount of potassium exists in insoluble form as silicate minerals, such as feldspar and micaceous minerals, abundantly found in these countries. Various methods, including bio-leaching, acid leaching, base leaching, and roast-leach studies, have been adopted to release potassium from these silicate resources. This review provides an overview of these methodologies and highlights future research possibilities.
