Summary: The study aimed to determine the efficacy of dried cranberry in reducing symptoms of overactive bladder in women. Results showed a significant reduction in daily micturitions, urgency episodes, and patient perception of bladder condition in the cranberry group compared to placebo after 24 weeks of follow-up. However, there was no statistically significant difference in other measurements between the two groups, indicating a potential benefit of cranberry on overactive bladder symptoms but requiring further studies for confirmation.

Summary: This study retrospectively compared the efficacy and safety of micro-RF therapy through the urethra with oral tolterodine for newly diagnosed OAB. The results showed that although both treatments improved symptoms, micro-RF therapy was safer and more effective in the short term.

Summary: This study systematically evaluated the efficacy and safety of peripheral electrical nerve stimulation for patients with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction. The results showed that peripheral electrical nerve stimulation significantly improved urodynamic outcomes and voiding diary parameters, with no reported severe adverse events. However, more reliable data from large-scale randomized controlled trials are needed to strengthen this concept.

Summary: The aim of the study is to characterize patient-reported signs and symptoms of urinary tract infections in patients with neurogenic bladder. Nonspecific signs and symptoms are most frequently reported in patients with neurogenic bladder and urinary tract infection encounters. These results can help providers better elicit and document urinary tract-specific symptoms in patients with neurogenic bladder presenting with possible urinary tract infection.

Summary: This study investigated the association between physician-patient communication and patient satisfaction with overactive bladder (OAB) medical care, as well as clinical effectiveness. The findings suggest that adequate physician-patient communication significantly contributes to improving clinical effectiveness and satisfaction with medical care in OAB patients, thereby increasing treatment continuation.

Summary: This 10-year prospective study evaluated the complications of radical retropubic prostatectomy (RRP) and concluded that RRP is a safe and effective treatment option for patients with clinically localized prostate cancer. RRP significantly improved lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in patients with moderate and severe urinary symptoms and positively impacted their quality of life related to LUTS.

Summary: Bladder cancer is a common cancer worldwide, and most patients have non-muscle invasive disease. Transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) with adjuvant intravesical therapy is the standard treatment. Urine, previously thought to be sterile, has been found to have a urinary microbiome associated with urological diseases. The urinary microbiome may serve as a biomarker for risk stratification and response prediction in bladder cancer.
