Summary: The novel auxetic warp knitted fabrics can maintain their auxetic effect under repeating tension, with the auxetic effect in the wale direction lasting longer as the tensile strain increases. The auxetic stability in the course direction is much better than that in the wale direction.

Summary: Negative Poisson's ratio tubular fabric is important in mechanical and medical fields. This study explored the effects of different raw materials and structures on the negative Poisson's ratio effect. The results showed that yarn with better elasticity and elongation had a better auxetic effect, and fabrics with good auxetic effects had greater deflection and better energy absorption capacity. Additionally, tubular knitted fabrics had a better negative Poisson's ratio effect compared to sheet knitted fabrics.

Summary: This study found that the impact resistance and energy absorption ability of composite materials increase with an increase in the auxetic effect of reinforcement, and composites with better auxetic effect show lower damage levels after low-velocity impact. However, higher initial impact energy can weaken the impact resistance ability of the composites.

Summary: This paper reports on the impact behavior of auxetic warp-knitted spacer fabric impregnated with shear thickening fluid under low-velocity impact loading. The study found that the warp-knitted spacer fabric with better auxetic performance improves the impact resistance of the composite material, leading to increased deformation depth, energy absorption, and peak load. The shear thickening fluid also contributes to the energy absorption of the composite due to its shear thickening transition.

Summary: This study describes a simple approach to constructing braided yarns with a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) and analyzes the influence of different materials and angles on the behavior of the yarns. The study found that a higher NPR value is achieved with a core material that has better elasticity, a smaller wrap angle, and a slower braiding speed.

Summary: This study presents a geometrical analysis of three-dimensional auxetic woven structures based on semi-empirical equations. A three-dimensional fabric was developed with a special geometrical arrangement to achieve an auxetic effect. The geometrical model correlated well with experimental results, demonstrating its usefulness in predicting the auxetic behavior of 3D woven fabrics with different structural parameters.

Summary: In this study, a comprehensive design and fabrication of a three-dimensional axisymmetric auxetic structure that exhibits uniform and axisymmetric transverse deformation under longitudinal compression loading is proposed. The design of the metamaterial is generated by revolving a two-dimensional parabolic curve along the axis of rotation and subsequently perforating the structure periodically with elliptical voids. The significance of the perforations is elucidated by comparing the metamaterial structure to a plain structure.

Summary: This article focuses on the development and analysis of Poisson's ratio of woven fabrics and their composites based on different auxetic geometries. It is concluded that the auxeticity of the auxetic woven fabric is largely dependent on the weave designs. Also, the auxeticity can be introduced into the composite using woven auxetic preform.

Summary: This study focuses on negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) materials in origami tessellation structures (OTSs). Three OTS Jacquard fabrics were designed and their in-plane and out-of-plane Poisson's ratios were predicted and compared. The results show the potential for using elastic yarns combined with warp and weft backed weave textile technology to create 3D auxetic materials.

Summary: This study explores the manufacturing of 3D warp-knitted fabrics with auxetic properties using warp knitting technology. Different geometric designs were evaluated for their auxetic behavior in various directions. The research offers an alternative method for producing auxetic warp-knitted spacer fabrics directly through a single knitting process.

Summary: A series of auxetic warp-knitted fabrics with negative Poisson's ratio were developed and their auxetic effects were simulated and predicted using the finite element method. The simulation results showed good agreement with the experimental results in terms of Poisson's ratio variation trends, demonstrating the feasibility of predicting auxetic effects using FE models.

Summary: Auxetic metamaterials exhibit the unexpected behavior of negative Poisson's ratio, expanding transversely when stretched longitudinally, which has applications in energy absorption, sensors, smart filters, vibration isolation, and medical fields. The potential of these structures can be further explored through additive manufacturing. There is currently a lack of guidance on the design of these structures, and this paper provides insights into the state-of-the-art and design approaches.

Summary: The demand for medical textile products is increasing as people become more aware of the need for better healthcare services and efficient medical treatments. Elastic warp knitted materials have been widely used in producing medical and preventive products due to their stretchability. This study investigated different elastic warp knitted fabrics produced with different raw materials and elastomer threading arrangements, and evaluated their properties.
