Summary: This study identified 10 ABF/AREB members in tomato and analyzed their response to ABA and abiotic stresses. The results showed that these members exhibit high protein similarity in the bZIP domain region and are localized in the nucleus. Some of these genes were found to positively respond to water stress, salt stress, and cold stress. Overall, this study provides insight into the role of tomato ABF/AREB homologues in plant response to abiotic stresses.

Summary: Understanding the plant microbiome's response to sound vibration may improve plant health and wine quality. Exposing grapevines to classical music altered the core microbiome of leaves, potentially enhancing plant resilience and sensory characteristics of wines. Further mechanistic studies are needed to fully grasp the impact of this innovative technique on plant health and wine terroir.

Summary: In this study, eight AREB/ABF genes were identified in the jute genome and classified into four groups based on their phylogenetic relationships. Further analysis showed that these genes play important roles in hormone response elements, light response, and stress response. Genetic evolutionary analysis revealed clear purification selection of jute ABRE/AREB genes and a longer divergence time compared to cocoa. Additionally, the expression levels of CoABF3 and CoABF7 were positively correlated with ABA concentration and significantly upregulated in response to salt and drought stress.

Summary: Grape seeds are rich in flavan-3-ol compounds, especially B-type procyanidins and monomers such as catechin and epicatechin. This review provides an overview of the existing literature on grape seed chemistry, exploring the variations in chemistry, signs of adulteration, and factors influencing metabolite expression. The research suggests that the expression of these compounds is primarily influenced by genotype and environment.

Summary: In this study, 47 OMT members were identified in the grape genome and their characteristics, distribution, expression, and regulation were investigated. The results showed that some OMT members are involved in the synthesis of methylated flavonoids and play important roles in the growth and defense of grapes.

Summary: This study evaluated cold resistance of 124 wine grape germplasms by determining their low-temperature half-lethal temperature (LT50) values, clustering them into different types based on cold resistance levels and exploring cold regionalization for wine grape cultivation in China. Strong cold-resistant V. vinifera germplasms were identified for potential breeding, and the results suggested the possibility of cultivating wine grapes without winter burial overwintering in some areas of China.

Summary: This study confirms that Bacillus velezensis strain GUMT319 is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria that increases grape yield. By analyzing soil properties and microbial composition, it was found that GUMT319 altered the physical and chemical properties and microbial community composition of the soil. The results suggest that GUMT319 acts as both a biocontrol agent and a plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, improving grape yield by modifying the soil environment.

Summary: This study integrated multi-omics data to explore global metabolic and transcriptional profiles in grape skins and pulps, revealing large-scale differences in the flavonoid metabolic pathway. The identified flavonoids, including flavone and flavone C-glycosides, showed a positive correlation with anthocyanins in grapes. The study also identified novel transcription factors and ubiquitin proteins as promising regulatory candidates for flavonoid biosynthesis in grapes, providing valuable information for the development of grape health products.

Summary: A comparative analysis was conducted to study the salt sensibility of two grapevine rootstocks in terms of growth, ion exclusion, and photosynthesis efficiency. The 'IAC 313' rootstock showed better growth, ion retention, and carbon assimilation under salinity compared to the 'Paulsen' rootstock. The characteristic of more favorable ionic homeostasis in 'IAC 313' was associated with its superior performance under salt stress.

Summary: In order to cultivate different grape varieties according to market needs, it is important to study the regulation mechanism of color changes in grapes at different development stages. This study used RNA-sequencing technology to compare and analyze the transcriptome data of four grape varieties at the same development stage. The anthocyanin synthesis pathway in the flavonoid pathway was mainly studied among the annotated differential genes. The role of the MYB transcription factor MYB2 in anthocyanin regulation was confirmed through subcellular localization and gene function verification.
