Summary: This study examined the challenges and opportunities for Vietnam in transforming its healthcare system towards a patient-centered care model. The findings suggest that while Vietnam's current environment is favorable for transitioning towards the BHS model, there are obstacles such as lack of legal regulation, readiness for healthcare digitalization, and limited empirical evidence on digital health initiatives.

Summary: This study aims to explore the relationship between health literacy competencies and patient-centered care by clinical nurses. The results show a significant positive relationship between health literacy competencies and patient-centered care, and factors such as education level and health literacy knowledge significantly influence the health literacy competencies of clinical nurses. The study suggests that nursing education should focus on integrating health literacy into the curriculum to improve patient-centered care by clinical nurses.

Summary: The study identified 12 challenges for patient-centered clinical decision support (PC CDS) development, including lack of patient input and standardized terminologies, as well as insufficient research on measuring clinical outcomes. It also highlighted the importance of building trust between patients and providers and addressing their concerns throughout the development process. Opportunities for advancing PC CDS include developing industry-wide practices and engaging patients in research to ensure relevant outcome measures.

Summary: This study examines how professionals apply HL-sensitive SDM in Dutch maternity care and their needs for support. The survey shows professionals find it challenging to estimate clients' information comprehension. Observations reveal that while most midwives inform clients about options, exploring preferences and actual decision-making need improvement. The professionals' needs focus on clients' information comprehension, but value clarification and decision-making require more attention in HL-sensitive SDM.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the perspectives of primary care physicians in the US Veterans Health Administration on delivering patient-centered care for high-risk or complex patients with multimorbidity. The findings revealed that personalized physician-patient communication, interdisciplinary teamwork, and integrated care were important facilitators, while intra- and interpersonal conflicts, limited encounter time, and policy impediments served as barriers to patient-centered care.

Summary: The study found that only 12% of Patient Decision Aids (PtDAs) addressed the needs of people with low health literacy or other socially-disadvantaged groups, indicating some level of inequality. While most PtDAs were understandable, they lacked actionability. A post hoc subgroup analysis revealed that using strategies to reduce cognitive demand in PtDA development led to greater knowledge improvements.

Summary: In order to achieve the quintuple aim in healthcare, it is necessary to design, develop, implement, use, and evaluate high-quality, patient-centered clinical decision support (PC CDS). We developed a PC CDS lifecycle framework to create a common understanding and language for communication among researchers, patients, clinicians, and policymakers. The framework emphasizes the involvement of patients and their caregivers in all stages of the process.

Summary: Through this study, we have conceptualized five team-based patient-centered measurement methods. These methods can provide greater clarity of care-team roles and responsibilities, guide the incorporation of patient-centered measurement into ongoing provider-patient interactions, evaluate a team's readiness toward digital tool adoption, and engage teams in patient-centered quality improvement. These methods also promote patient-provider interactions, validate patient perspectives of their care, and evaluate the quality of patient-centered care.

Summary: This paper presents an integrated model that aims to enhance patient engagement in healthcare by drawing on the strengths of health literacy and shared decision-making concepts. The model includes addressing patients' skills and capacities, as well as modifying written and verbal information. It proposes an expanded model of shared decision-making that incorporates health literacy concepts and promotes two-tiered intervention methods to improve communication targeting and personalization and support the development of transferable health literacy skills among patients.

Summary: Holistic health care is essential for complete patient care, and an efficient clinical decision support system (CDSS) is crucial to support physicians' judgement. This study proposes an AI-assisted CDSS model using an improved recurrent neural network (RNN) to predict patients in need of holistic health care.
