Summary: This study identified the barriers and enablers to implementing clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) recommendations in primary care. The findings suggest that policy-driven strategies should be developed to optimize resource allocation, promote integrated care models, establish well-coordinated multidisciplinary networks, increase technical support, encourage healthcare providers and patients' engagement, standardize guideline reporting, enhance education and training, and stimulate motivations to facilitate the uptake of CPGs recommendations in primary care.

Summary: Conserving urban biodiversity is crucial for addressing the biodiversity-extinction crisis and fostering a connection between people and nature. However, little attention has been given to how environmental managers in cities navigate complex socio-ecological contexts to achieve this. Through interviews with Australian environmental managers, we found that current practices for biodiversity conservation are more diverse, innovative, and proactive than previously described. However, there is a lack of mainstream adoption of priority actions identified in the literature, such as designing for human-nature connection and securing space for nature in cities. We also identified strategies to overcome barriers and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in future research and practice.

Summary: The study introduces a part of the revised guideline of "Daicho Polyp Shinryo Guideline 2020" published by the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology, which covers various aspects of colorectal polyps such as epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment. By discussing and analyzing 18 clinical questions, evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for management of colorectal polyps were proposed.

Summary: The review included 22 quantitative and 3 qualitative studies, finding a positive association between patient factors like female sex, socioeconomic deprivation, non-white race/ethnicity, comorbidities, and obesity assessments in clinical practice. Healthcare professionals viewed obesity assessments positively when linked to patient health and routine practice, but negatively in terms of their role, training, time, resources, and incentives in the healthcare system.

Summary: Physicians generally have positive attitudes towards guideline adherence, but major barriers include complexity of guideline documents, high number of weak recommendations, and time constraints due to clinical responsibilities. Improved training focus and access to relevant guidelines at the point of care may be important to enhance guideline adherence.

Summary: This study identifies key barriers and facilitators to the implementation of clinical practice guidelines in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) through a three-round Delphi study. The results show that the highest-ranked barriers are related to communications and available research and skills, while the most important facilitator is the availability of training courses for healthcare professionals.

Summary: This study found that older age, better visual acuity, and a higher number of baseline injections were associated with increased uptake of home vision monitoring apps. Patients diagnosed with neovascular age-related macular degeneration, White British ethnicity, and better baseline visual acuity were more likely to comply with the app. Comfort and proficiency with modern technologies also played a role in app usage rates.

Summary: The study found variations in the implementation of surgery standards across Canada, with major under-implemented categories including quality assurance, data collection, and pathology turnaround time. Enablers, barriers, and opportunities for standards implementation were discussed in a focus group. Future efforts should focus on promoting quality improvement strategies and effective resource allocation to enhance patient outcomes.

Summary: The brain is a common site of metastatic disease for patients with advanced melanoma, with treatment approaches including surgery, radiotherapy, and systemic therapy. Management of melanoma brain metastases should involve a multidisciplinary team and consider optimal combinations and sequencing of treatments. It is important to establish appropriate guidelines for the management of melanoma brain metastases and update them regularly as new treatment options become available.

Summary: Clinicians in Ukraine have positive attitudes towards the utilization of evidence-based CRC treatment guidelines, but they encounter significant barriers in accessing the necessary resources to stay informed on current literature. However, there is a willingness and initiative at the clinician level to pursue continuing education. Efforts should be made at the international level to improve open-access and foreign language translation availability to support physicians in Ukraine and other low- to middle-income countries.

Summary: The study evaluated the implementation of colorectal ERAS and found that a compliance rate above 70% was associated with shorter hospital stay, lower readmission rate, reduced complication rate, and earlier return to gastrointestinal function in patients. Effective communication and professional support are essential for the successful implementation of the ERAS program.

Summary: Smoking history, use of immunosuppressive medication, and preoperative NSAID use were significantly associated with an increased risk of developing recalcitrant marginal ulcers. Patients undergoing revisional surgery reported symptom resolution in only 36% of cases, with 57% developing recurrent ulcers. Additional evidence is needed to guide perioperative management of bariatric patients.

Summary: In this study, a consensus process involving Canadian experts was used to develop the Diabetic Wound Assessment Learning Tool (DiWALT) and validity evidence was built through simulation-based testing scenarios. The results showed that the DiWALT consistently and reliably evaluates competence in diabetic wound management, but further research is needed to quantify sources of error and establish validity evidence in larger and more diverse participant groups.

Summary: The study developed a scoring system to evaluate user performance in endoscopic training. Results from retrospective and prospective analysis showed that the scoring system can effectively distinguish between experts and trainees, correlate with other endoscopic skill assessment systems, and have good reliability. Prospective testing using the scoring system demonstrated significant differences in average scores between the expert group and the trainee group.

Summary: Obesity is a major public health crisis, and bariatric surgery has become an important tool in addressing it and related conditions. While BS techniques have improved, there is no precise way to predict who will benefit the most. Summary: This study developed and evaluated artificial intelligence models that can identify safe and dangerous zones, as well as anatomical landmarks, during laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). The models showed promising results in accurately identifying these areas, indicating the potential for real-time guidance in surgery to minimize adverse events.
