Summary: Mental toughness is crucial for adolescent athletes in their athletic careers and lives. This study explores the relationship between belief in a just world, meaning in life, and mental toughness. The results suggest that belief in a just world positively correlates with mental toughness, partially mediated by the search for meaning and the presence of meaning in life. It is worth noting that the presence of meaning plays a more influential role than the search for meaning.

Summary: This study explores the relationship and mechanism between public risk familiarity and mental health during the new coronary pneumonia epidemic from the perspective of the social ecological model. The results indicate that risk familiarity has a significant positive predictive effect on public mental health, and it predicts mental health through the mediating effect of mental toughness. The mediating effect of mental toughness is moderated by the public's familiarity with SARS.

Summary: The multitude of training models and curricula for clinical neuropsychology has led to efforts to establish a framework of core competencies. Through interviews with experts from 28 European countries, this study found agreement on the importance of academic and clinical training but less importance placed on management, administrative, and advocacy skills. Establishing a specialty certification based on core competencies may facilitate mobility and harmonization of standards among professionals in the field.

Summary: The aim of this study was to determine the influence of specific psychological factors on intervention effects for children with severe obesity in a clinical setting. The results showed that parents' report of their child's emotional well-being and maternal education significantly predicted weight loss in the total sample, and social functioning was found to be a significant moderator of treatment effect. These preliminary findings suggest the need for tailored obesity programs that take into consideration a child's emotional and social functioning.
