Summary: This study investigated the genomic characteristics of parotid gland-associated mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (ENMZL) in primary Sjogren's syndrome (pSS). The findings showed that pSS-associated MALT lymphomas have a low mutational load and limited copy number alterations, suggesting that they are genomically stable and may depend on a stimulatory micro-environment.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the serial ultrasound features and disease progression of thyroid MALT lymphoma. The study found that ultrasound examination can detect solid large thyroid nodules or goiter in the context of Hashimoto thyroiditis, and TIRADS categories can improve the diagnostic accuracy for malignancy. Serial ultrasound examinations demonstrated the self-limiting and indolent nature of thyroid MALT lymphoma.

Summary: Gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is often linked to Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, with treatment typically consisting of eradicating H. pylori or using radiotherapy. Patients with resistance factors or lack of response to antibiotic therapy may benefit from definitive radiotherapy (RT) as a treatment option.

Summary: Duodenal MALT lymphoma is very rare, and treatment outcomes seem to be inferior to those of gastric MALT lymphoma. The study findings showed lower rates of H. pylori infection and lymph node metastasis in patients with duodenal MALT lymphoma compared to gastric MALT lymphoma, as well as lower complete remission rates. Complications such as bleeding, stricture, and transformation to high-grade lymphoma were also more common in duodenal MALT lymphoma patients than in gastric MALT lymphoma patients.

Summary: MALToma, a type of marginal zone B-cell lymphoma, occurs in extranodal sites in the head and neck, often associated with chronic inflammatory, infectious, or autoimmune conditions. It is usually multifocal and indolent, with imaging appearances that may mimic benign disease in the head and neck.

Summary: This case study presents a 54-year-old woman diagnosed with SS and pulmonary MALT. The patient's symptoms were partially relieved with chemotherapy. It is important to identify predictors of malignant transformation of SS to pulmonary MALT lymphoma.

Summary: In this case report, a patient with primary colonic MALT lymphoma was diagnosed using electronic staining endoscopy and magnifying endoscopy. The patient underwent ESD for diagnosis and additional surgical treatment based on PET-CT results. The study suggests that ESD may be a feasible option for treating massive colorectal MALT lymphoma.

Summary: The presence of Ig paraprotein in MALT lymphoma patients is associated with various prognostic factors, such as advanced age, disease stage, and treatment regimen. A new prognostic index combining MALT-IPI and Ig paraproteinaemia shows better predictive ability for progression-free survival than MALT-IPI alone. Ig paraproteinaemia could be a promising prognostic predictor for MALT lymphoma and help optimize therapeutic management in clinical practice.

Summary: The article discusses the evolution and function of the acquired immune tissue MALT, and introduces the research on the inducible form iSALT of the skin-associated lymphoid tissue SALT in a mouse model. The study shows that iSALT may play an important role in various skin diseases, with similar biological significance to MALT.

Summary: MALT lymphoma, first reported in 1984, has an indolent clinical course. Gastric MALT lymphoma accounts for a significant proportion of B-cell lymphomas and primary gastric lymphomas. H. pylori eradication is the first-line treatment for gastric MALT lymphoma, leading to complete histological remission in the majority of cases with stage I/II1 disease. Patients who do not respond to H. pylori eradication therapy may require second-line treatments such as watch-and-wait, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and/or rituximab immunotherapy.

Summary: A 46-year-old woman with mixed connective tissue disease presented with clinical features of scleroderma and polymyositis. Despite having seropositive antibodies, she remained asymptomatic for respiratory issues over a 14-year period, but showed a decline in diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide, indicating interval development of restrictive lung function.

Summary: This study explores the characteristics and prognostic factors of thymic mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma, an extremely rare disease, by analyzing the SEER database. The study reveals that thymic MALT lymphoma is a highly rare disease with a favorable prognosis, and treatment protocols and disease staging may need to be reassessed.

Summary: A study using whole-exome sequencing identified mutations and predisposing genes in a 77-year-old female with renal MALT lymphoma, including mutations in PHOX2B and ADCY1. Immunohistochemical analysis showed positive protein markers and suggested aberrant signaling of PHOX2B and ADCY1 could contribute to disease progression. The research emphasizes the importance of alternative adjuvant therapy based on the findings.
