Summary: Many classic hyperelastic models cannot accurately predict the stress responses of soft materials in complex loading conditions. We propose a new micro-macro transition approach integrated into a full network framework, which successfully captures the stress responses in multi-axial deformation modes for soft materials. We further develop a two-parameter hyperelastic model that exhibits greatly improved predictive ability for complex loading types compared to other existing models.

Summary: This study presents a methodology to probabilistically characterize the traffic loads on bridges and its application to assess the structural safety of the A56. The results show that traffic micro-simulation is a suitable approach and the structural actions derived from code-assigned loads tend to be conservative.

Summary: A twin-bioengine yeast micro/nanorobot (TBY-robot) with self-propelling and self-adaptive capabilities has been developed for targeted gastrointestinal inflammation therapy. The TBY-robot uses an enzyme-macrophage switching mechanism to autonomously navigate to inflamed sites. It successfully overcomes barriers in the gastrointestinal tract and enhances drug accumulation at the diseased site, demonstrating its potential for precision treatment of inflammatory diseases.

Summary: CLEIT is a novel network framework that aims to address challenges in predicting genotype-phenotype associations by integrating multiple incoherent omics data, learning latent representations of high-level domains, and leveraging unlabeled data to improve generalizability of predictive models. It demonstrates effectiveness in predicting anti-cancer drug sensitivity from somatic mutations with the assistance of gene expressions compared to state-of-the-art methods.

Summary: Failing to accurately forecast the penetration of distributed energy resources can have negative consequences such as cost inefficiencies and system failures. We have developed an open-source tool that uses an advanced specification to accurately predict technology adoption. Compared to a conventional specification, the advanced specification significantly reduces forecasting errors.

Summary: This study aimed to mathematically model the release behavior of polymer-drug conjugates and proposed a diffusion model suitable for macromolecular drugs. The results showed that hydrogels have a heterogeneous structure, and the release of macromolecules is affected by diffusion in different regions. Additionally, this study demonstrated the applicability of a biphasic model in designing hydrogel systems for precision drug release.

Summary: The study investigated factors influencing the adoption of eco-innovations in cotton production in Pakistan, finding that participation in training programs, information access, and risk perception were positively correlated with adoption, while credit access had a negative impact. To promote sustainable practices, institutional support is necessary for organizing training programs, providing credit facilities, and delivering technology information.

Summary: This paper develops an agent-based joint EV and V2G model to study the diffusion and influencing factors of EVs and V2G. The results indicate that most respondents are familiar with EVs but less familiar with V2G. Additionally, the diffusion of V2G is influenced by more factors, and EV owners are more likely to use V2G.

Summary: This study explores the combined effects of economic level and air pollution on public health using the multivariate ordered Logit model and panel data regression model. The results show that economic level is positively correlated with public health, while air pollution is negatively correlated with it. The improvement of economic level makes public health more susceptible to air pollution.

Summary: This paper presents a simplified model that investigates how to promote market penetration of infrastructure-dependent technologies from the perspective of a decision-maker. The results suggest that policymakers should take into account both the infrastructure investments of profit-maximizing firms and the technology adoption subsidies for consumers, and adjust the policy according to the marginal social benefit of BEV adoption.
