Summary: Investigating the anatomical differences between varus and valgus knees in the femur and tibia three-dimensionally is crucial for improving surgical approaches and gaining a better understanding of specific patterns of osteoarthritis progression.

Summary: This paper presents two accurate and automatic methods for measuring the femoral neck-shaft angle (NSA) based on a 2D plane and a 3D model respectively. The accuracy of the methods was verified and the results showed that the NSAs obtained by the 2D and 3D methods were basically consistent.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between femoral anteversion and neck-shaft angle (NSA) in adults. The results showed that there was no statistical correlation between femoral anteversion and NSA, both for the entire cohort and for each sex.

Summary: The study compared the accuracy of femoral torsion measurements using different methods and found no significant differences between the methods. Both the axial measurement method and the biplanar measurement method on 3D volumetric reconstructions of computed tomography images can be used to measure femoral torsion in dogs with orthopedic disease.

Summary: Intertrochanteric osteotomies are used to correct congenital and acquired deformities of the proximal femur in children and adolescents. Different types of osteotomies can restore normal alignment of the femur, increase hip joint congruency and stability, and improve limb position in the case of soft-tissue contractures. Steps for assessing and planning the appropriate osteotomy are described, along with indications and long-term considerations.

Summary: The study found that proximal femur lengthening with the PRECICE IM nail significantly reduced the neck shaft angle (NSA) and might cause Varus deformity. The level of osteotomy by OLC did not influence the amount of NSA reduction, while trochanteric entry points showed a greater tendency to reduce the NSA compared to piriformis entry points.

Summary: This study found that in AKP females with increased FAV, both segments of the femur contribute to the total FAV, with a different pattern between the pathological group and the control group, and the compensation mechanism of the diaphysis is much lower in the pathological group than in the controls.

Summary: The study developed a highly accurate deep learning tool for automating the measurement of acetabular component angles on postoperative radiographs, with performance comparable to human-level measurements and potential for wide application in clinical and research settings.

Summary: In open-wedge high tibial osteotomy, the starting point of the osteotomy does not need to exactly match the preoperative plan. There is no significant difference in osteotomy gap height between starting the osteotomy 3 or 4 cm distal to the joint line.

Summary: This study found a negative correlation between the medial condylar angle and excessive femoral anteversion on full-leg standing lower limb radiographs. The medial condylar angle can serve as a good predictor of femoral anteversion and guide the treatment of patellar dislocation in clinical practice.

Summary: This study is one of the first to combine CT-based analyses of glenoid angles and mineralisation distribution in an elderly population. The data suggests that superior inclination between 0 degrees and 10 degrees-15 degrees, and dorsal version ranging between - 9 degrees to - 3 degrees may be predominantly associated with anterior and central mineralisation patterns previously classified as physiological for the shoulder joint.

Summary: This study explored the anatomical correlation between the femoral neck shaft angle (NSA) and femoral anteversion angle (AA) in patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip. The results showed a positive correlation between NSA and AA in normal and Crowe type I-III hips, suggesting torsion of the proximal femur. This correlation provides a straightforward method to estimate AA based on NSA in these cases.

Summary: The morphology of preoperative CT of femoral neck fracture treated with hollow screw can be divided into varus separated type and valgus impacted type. This fracture classification can guide the intraoperative reduction and improve the quality of reduction.

Summary: By comparing the measurements of FNA in 68 children with unilateral DDH using 2D-CT, 3D-CT, and a 3D-printed femur model, the study found that 3D-CT is a more precise and reproducible method for FNA measurement in children with DDH.
