Summary: This study found that a subset of presymptomatic MAPT mutation carriers exhibited low volumes in the mesial temporal lobe, a region commonly atrophied in all symptomatic carriers. With increasing age, a higher percentage of presymptomatic carriers showed low mesial temporal volume, suggesting early neurodegeneration.

Summary: This study investigated the neural correlates of impaired self-awareness of cognitive deficits in non-demented patients with Parkinson's disease. The results showed that patients with impaired self-awareness had poorer white matter integrity, particularly in the genu of the corpus callosum and anterior limb of the internal capsule. However, there were no significant differences in cortical thickness or striatal DAT availability based on the presence of impaired self-awareness.

Summary: Subjective cognitive complaints are reported in COVID-19 patients across different disease severities. This study found that attention abilities were widely affected in post-COVID patients with subjective complaints, and were associated with deficits in executive functions, learning, and long-term memory. These cognitive deficits were largely unrelated to clinical factors such as hospitalization and disease duration.

A multiple regression analysis confirmed the impact of psychomotor abilities on the severity of BPD symptoms. The study suggests a potential clinical benefit of cognitive remediation programs in BPD.
