Summary: A new T-QT/CS adsorbent was synthesized for the adsorption of cationic and anionic dyes in water. Characterization of T-QT/CS was performed using various techniques, and its adsorption behavior was found to conform to pseudo-second-order kinetic and linear Langmuir isotherm models. The T-QT/CS exhibited good dye-adsorption ability with maximum adsorption capacities of 917.4 mg/g for MB at pH 9 and 349.9 mg/g for OG at pH 2. Thermodynamic experiments showed that the adsorption processes of T-QT/CS were endothermic and spontaneous, and the T-QT/CS demonstrated good reusability.

Summary: A novel polydentate chelating antioxidant ligand and its series of organotin complexes were synthesized and characterized. The ligand exhibited radical scavenging activity while the introduction of tin decreased its activity. The synthesized compounds showed moderate lipoxygenase inhibitory activity and different stability to hydrolysis under various pH conditions. These compounds also possess luminescence and unique cytotoxic properties, making them potential theranostic agents.

Summary: Indole-tethered chromene derivatives were efficiently synthesized via a simple reaction using N-alkyl-1H-indole-3-carbaldehydes, 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione, and malononitrile, catalyzed by DBU at a moderate temperature for a short reaction time, leading to high yields. The synthesized compounds exhibited potent anticancer activity, with compounds 4c and 4d displaying particularly good cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines, and their binding affinity to tubulin protein was superior to the control. Molecular docking and dynamics simulations confirmed the stability of ligand-receptor interactions, and the derivatives passed all drug-likeness filters.
