We report that the mutant rpsL K43R in streptomycin-resistant and lysine-producing Corynebacterium glutamicum is responsible for streptomycin resistance. In addition, we describe its effective application in gene modification in C. glutamicum. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
