Summary: This study fabricates biomimetic magnetic-luminescent bifunctional drug delivery carriers inspired by the structure of rapeseed pods, which exhibit excellent magnetic and luminescent properties and sequential release of dual drugs. The dual-chamber structure enhances the luminescent intensity and promotes blood and cell compatibilities of the carriers. These rapeseed pod-like drug delivery systems have potential for biomedical applications such as targeted drug delivery, bioimaging, and sustained treatment of diseases.

Summary: Targeted-drug administration to liver can reduce side effects and increase therapeutic efficacy. In this study, natural ligands including arabinogalactan, pullulan, and lactobionic acid, were used to target the asialoglycoprotein receptor on hepatocytes. The novel ligands showed high binding affinities and could be successfully incorporated into drug-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers for targeted delivery to hepatocytes. The ligand LAD exhibited low toxicity and high biocompatibility. Overall, the study demonstrates the enhanced targeting efficacy of ASGPR targeting ligands, which could be used for future targeted delivery in treating liver disorders.

Summary: Nanocrystals are a promising formulation for improved drug delivery, targeting the hair follicles and providing long-lasting and efficient dermal drug delivery. Different types of vehicles do not significantly affect the efficacy of nanocrystals' penetration into hair follicles, but they do impact passive dermal penetration. Gels containing humectants can enhance passive penetration effectiveness.

Summary: The study demonstrates that inflammatory macrophages in the synovium exacerbate joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) through ADP/P2Y(1) signaling, with extracellular ADP (eADP) triggering neutrophil recruitment. Inhibition of the ADP/P2Y(1) signaling pathway can restore arthritis severity, indicating its dominant role in RA pathology.

Summary: Emerging evidence suggests that physiological distress is closely correlated with cancer incidence and mortality. This study demonstrates that acute restraint increases the levels of kisspeptin and the expression of its receptor, Gpr54, in the hypothalamus and T cells within the spleen and tumor microenvironment. The administration of kisspeptin-10 impairs T cell function, while knockout of Gpr54 inhibits lung tumor progression. These findings indicate that kisspeptin/GPR54 signaling plays a nonredundant role in stress-induced tumor immune evasion.
