Summary: Cellular structures with lightweight and high strength have become popular in modern industrial fields. The optimization design methods for cellular structure have been developed along with the advancement of additive manufacturing. However, most existing optimization designs focus on non-stochastic cellular structures, which have disadvantages in structure anisotropy and poor connectivity of adjacent microstructures. In this work, a scale-separated variable cutting (VCUT) level set method is proposed for designing a graded stochastic Voronoi cellular structure.

Summary: By considering the potential role of Additive Manufacturing (AM) in Traditional Manufacturing (TM) supply chains, the research addresses the major issues faced by TM, such as setting reactive strategies for demand uncertainties and optimizing buffering capacities. The study provides an analytical allocation rule based on cost differentials to offer optimal sourcing decisions and sheds light on how different problem characteristics affect the value and usage of AM in supply chain networks.

Summary: This letter investigates the resource allocation problem for cellular Zero-Touch Deterministic Industrial Machine-to-Machine (ZT-DI-M2M) communications. It considers deploying multiple self-adaptive industrial M2M communications under cellular networks to emulate various vertical use cases in Industry 4.0, with the objective of guaranteeing latency determinacy. By formulating the resource allocation problem as a stochastic game and proposing a random graph-based sparse LSTM network, the optimization problem is solved with reduced computational complexity. The numerical result demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Summary: This paper studies three classes of allocation policies and unifies the analysis of these policies through the concept of persistency values. It is found that the performance gaps between optimal anticipative policies and adaptive policies are bounded in certain models, while the gaps between optimal adaptive policies and responsive policies can be arbitrarily large. The techniques and persistency values obtained from optimal responsive policies can be used to design good adaptive and anticipative policies for other resource allocation problems, providing a unified approach to algorithm design and analysis for these problems.

Summary: This study finds that the two-stage policy outperforms other capacity allocation policies in the presence of supply disruption. Partial disruption is more manageable compared to full disruption. Additionally, in cases with fixed penalty rates, suppliers are better off negotiating longer performance review periods.

Summary: The unbalanced growth of employment in China's manufacturing industry is ultimately caused by differences in industrial structure and competitiveness. At the regional level, both shift-share EM1 and EM2 models can separate the effects of structure and competitiveness on employment growth, but only the EM2 model can achieve complete separation at the industrial level.

Summary: The emergence of additive manufacturing has enabled the design of complex structures such as functionally graded cellular structures. Level-set-based methods have gained attention as an efficient design tool for structures fabricated with AM. A multiscale structural optimization method utilizing level-set descriptions is proposed to replace topology optimization for microscale structural optimization with reduced computation cost and comparable results.

Summary: In this study, a deep learning framework that combines interpretability and feature fusion is proposed for real-time monitoring of pipeline leaks. The proposed method extracts abstract feature details of leak acoustic emission signals through multi-level dynamic receptive fields and optimizes the learning process of the network using a feature fusion module. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively extract distinguishing features of leak acoustic emission signals, achieving higher recognition accuracy compared to typical deep learning methods. Additionally, feature map visualization demonstrates the physical interpretability of the proposed method in abstract feature extraction.
