Summary: This study proposes a joint decision model to address the cell formation and product scheduling problems in multifactory cellular manufacturing systems. The research reveals that if a product is processed in a factory with low logistics cost, the cost of delivering the product to the distributor may be high. Additionally, managers' preference for high production rate equipment and workers may result in a higher operational error rate, which in turn affects labor cost, raw material cost, and completion time of products.

Summary: This paper proposes a deep learning-based forecasting system for carbon emissions trading in regional markets. The system utilizes a hybrid convolutional neural network (CNN) deep learning algorithm to predict future carbon emission levels and facilitate the trading of carbon emission allowances. Results show that the proposed system outperforms traditional forecasting methods in terms of accuracy and provides more reliable estimates of future carbon emissions.

Summary: This study proposed a real-time aeration scheme based on nitrite concentration to control the competition between nitrite oxidizing bacteria (XNOB) and Anammox bacteria (XANA) in single-stage Anammox processes. The simulation results showed that maintaining dissolved oxygen (DO) at around 0.10 mg-O2/L was ideal for effective nitrite creation by ammonia oxidizing bacteria (XAOB) while slowing down the growth of XNOB. Nitrite concentration was found to be the rate-limiting parameter for efficient nitrogen removal in single-stage Anammox processes.

Summary: Bumblebees often focus on certain flowers for pollen foraging, but this focus is not long-lasting in the field, with the visited flower species varying over time. Most individuals collect several types of pollen, and the more pollen types they collect, the more diversity is contributed to the bumblebee colony. Flower constancy, focusing on a few or even a single flower species, is a widely observed behavior during single foraging trips, but its persistence over longer time periods is largely unknown. Only 23% of the pollen foraging trips were flower constant, and repeatedly sampled individuals showed different preferences at other sampling occasions. The preferences change in response to shifting floral resources.

Summary: In this study, a deep learning framework that combines interpretability and feature fusion is proposed for real-time monitoring of pipeline leaks. The proposed method extracts abstract feature details of leak acoustic emission signals through multi-level dynamic receptive fields and optimizes the learning process of the network using a feature fusion module. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively extract distinguishing features of leak acoustic emission signals, achieving higher recognition accuracy compared to typical deep learning methods. Additionally, feature map visualization demonstrates the physical interpretability of the proposed method in abstract feature extraction.
