Summary: Colorectal cancer, a major human malignancy, is driven by aberrant expression of coding and non-coding genes. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a crucial role in gene stability and expression, making them promising biomarkers and therapeutic targets for colorectal cancer. This review summarizes the involvement of lncRNAs in the pathogenesis and regulation of colorectal cancer, focusing on their role in cancer promotion or suppression, tumor diagnosis, treatment response, prognosis prediction, and associated signaling pathways. Additionally, the role of lncRNAs in colorectal precancerous lesions and molecular subgroups of colorectal cancer is discussed. The review aims to provide the latest research progress and perspective on lncRNAs in colorectal cancer.

This review focuses on the oncogenic or oncosuppressor roles of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) in TNBC, highlighting their mechanisms of action and potential applications in non-coding RNA-based therapeutics.

Summary: To discover genes associated with radioresistance in colorectal cancer (CRC), an RNA sequencing dataset was analyzed. Among the candidates, IGFL2-AS1, a long non-coding RNA, showed a correlation with radioresistance. Further investigation revealed that as radioresistance increased, the expression of IGFL2-AS1 also increased in CRC cell lines and samples. Knockdown of IGFL2-AS1 decreased radioresistance and cell migration, indicating its functional role in radioresistance.

Summary: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have important regulatory roles in tissue morphology and functions. This study constructed comprehensive transcriptomic atlases of human lncRNAs in normal and disease states, revealing high consistency within the same tissues and complexity in specialized tissues. Tissue-elevated (TE) lncRNAs were identified and shown to have important roles in tissue-related pathways. The expression features of TE lncRNAs made them effective biomarkers for tissue classification and were associated with cancer and patient survival.
