Summary: Central sleep apnea (CSA) frequently coexists with heart failure and atrial fibrillation. A novel transvenous phrenic nerve stimulation (TPNS) system has been approved for the treatment of CSA. However, patient access to this therapy remains limited and requires specialized programs and support from healthcare systems.

Summary: This study found that the new billing process of the Thai Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme has positive impacts on outpatient care utilization, affecting both visiting rates and treatment intensity. These impacts are moderate yet persistent, and can be sensitive to model specifications. Patients with lower utilization rates before the change tend to increase their healthcare utilization more proportionally.

Summary: This study presents a novel approach for discovering reversible codes over rings using the concept of r-glifted polynomials. By extending this methodology to the domain of DNA codes, a correspondence is established between 4t-bases of DNA and elements within a specific ring. The challenges of reversibility and complementarity in DNA codes over this ring are successfully addressed.

Summary: This study identified multiple genes associated with colorectal cancer risk through a transcriptome-wide association study, including genes in novel loci. Furthermore, previously unreported genes were also discovered in known GWAS-identified loci. Through colocalization analysis, additional putative susceptibility genes were identified, providing new insights into the biological mechanisms underlying CRC development.

Summary: This study developed risk prediction models for early-onset colorectal cancer (CRC) that incorporate an environmental risk score (ERS) and a polygenic risk score (PRS). The study found that increasing values of ERS and PRS were associated with increasing relative risks for early-onset CRC. Personal risk scores have the potential to identify individuals at differential relative and absolute risk for early-onset CRC, and may improve screening and outcomes.
