Summary: In order to address health inequality and relieve the shortage of rural doctors, China implemented a tuition-waived medical education program for rural areas since 2010. Little is known about the job satisfaction of these rural doctors. This study investigated the job satisfaction of village doctors with the tuition-waived medical education program in China and found that 56.50% of them were satisfied with their job. The understanding of the program, recognition of rural medical work, relevance of the curriculum, education background, rural origin, and remuneration were positively correlated with job satisfaction. The findings of this study have implications for healthcare authorities, medical colleges, and primary healthcare establishments, and can provide valuable insights into the training and retention of primary healthcare providers in other countries.

Summary: This study found a significant moderate correlation between medical knowledge relevant to radiology practice and clinical productivity during radiology residency. Factors such as clinical productivity, gender of the radiology resident, and postgraduate year were independently associated with DRPT percentile scores. These findings suggest that clinical productivity of a resident could be a relevant metric in a radiology training program.
