Summary: Natural habitats on private lands play a crucial role in national biodiversity conservation strategies, but they are facing rapid loss due to development. To protect these habitats effectively, a Biodiversity Conservation Priority Index (BCPI) was developed based on ecological value and habitat loss risk. The study found that the highest priority for biodiversity conservation was in the western and southern parts of the northwestern United States. Existing conservation easements were predominantly located in areas with lower BCPI values.

Summary: This study examined the attitudes and willingness of community pharmacists in North Carolina to engage in behaviors related to the sales and distribution of fentanyl test strips (FTS). The results showed that most pharmacists were willing to refer patients, counsel, distribute instructions, sell, and advertise FTS. Pharmacist distribution of FTS could increase access and potentially reduce overdose deaths.

Summary: Conservation easements (CEs) were introduced in China to address the conflict between rural land use and conservation measures. Little is known about the adaptation of CEs to collective land tenure. In our study, we integrated social-psychological aspects and sustainable livelihoods to assess rural residents' motivations for granting CEs. Results showed that institutional capital and perception of the economic environment were important factors affecting farmers' acceptance of CEs. Overall, our findings highlight the importance of economic rights in the changing institutional environment.

Summary: This paper investigates pricing strategies of newly-graduated artists and proposes innovative strategies for sustainable practice. The study reveals challenges in pricing for these artists and suggests the need for educational institutions and intermediaries to offer more pricing advice. Personalized or participative pricing forms, such as 'Pay What You Want', can be beneficial for these artists.

Summary: Storing food commodities after harvest can help mitigate price fluctuations in developing countries. However, many farmers in these countries store little of their harvest. A survey in Kenya found that a considerable proportion of smallholder farmers were willing to rent cold storage facilities for potatoes, and factors such as gender, transaction costs, and household endowment influenced their willingness to pay. The study also showed that potato storage could be economically viable, as seasonal price gaps were higher than the estimated willingness to pay.

Summary: This study analyzes the willingness of forest owners to participate in the governmental redemption of commercial forests for conservation and identifies key factors influencing their decision. The findings indicate that non-timber income, government policies, dispute handling, and local ecological conditions greatly influence participation likelihood. Forest owners are more willing to participate if the combined direct cash compensation and indirect non-timber income compensation outweigh the opportunity costs of protection. The study recommends using the final offer arbitration method and promoting ecotourism to improve incentives and reduce information costs.

Summary: The study found that households are willing to accept an average compensation of 7.7 USD to work for 5-10 additional days of public work on soil and water conservation as part of contributing to Desa?a forest conservation. However, households' preferences to work on biodiversity conservation and agroforestry expansion were found to be negligible. Therefore, strengthening investments in environmental rehabilitation programs through soil and water conservation in forestlands could create incentives for households to sustainably conserve and use forests.

Summary: This study measures the influencing factors behind public willingness to participate in eco-compensation in China's Taihu Basin using a contingent valuation method and a random forest model. The main results show that factors such as recognition of the importance of watershed protection, the impact of the watershed environment on people's lives, annual incomes, and perceived improvements to the watershed environment over the past five years significantly influence willingness to pay.

Summary: This study aims to identify effective policies and develop a practical policy framework to promote the development of prefabricated building (PB). Through text analysis and survey, it found that the current policy system of PBs is complete but uneven, with a focus on environmental policies. The most cost-effective tools are land limitations, tax incentives, and financial support. This study provides a reference for policy evaluation and formulation, expanding the literature research on PB policies.
