The composition and the antifungal activities of the essential oils of Ferula gummosa from three localities (Kashan. Ham and Semnan) in Iran were evaluated. Analysis of the oil samples gave 34 components. The major components were beta-Pinene (28.44-40.99%). alpha-Pinene 1.42-33.91 %), delta-3-Carene (1.36-11.80 %) and limonene (5.09-9.15 %). The antifungal activities of oils against four plant phytopathogenic fungi showed that the oil of all samples were effective of against growth of B. cinerea by increasing the concentrations and these were lesss for 1200 ppm. Whereas the various concentrations of F. gummosa oil in each sample couldn't effect the growth of the F. verticillioides. The growth of C. gleosporoides and A. niger only inhibited in Semnan and Kashan, respectively. Our results showed that F. gummosa essential oils could be used as antifungal agents to manage some plant fungal diseases.
