Summary: By synthesizing a series of β-cyclodextrin dimers with different spatial structures, this study analyzed their structure using 1H NMR and NOESY NMR, finding the dependence of molecular symmetry on spatial structure. The experiments on solubility showed that the synthesized dimers exhibited better effectiveness in increasing the solubility of tetracene compared to other supramolecular hosts.

Summary: The study found that lower concentrations of zinc oxide nanoparticles can increase bacterial growth rate and tolerance potential, helping them to resist heavy metal stress; while higher concentrations of zinc oxide nanoparticles may lead to the accumulation of heavy metals in bacterial cells, affecting bacterial morphology and cell membrane.

Summary: In this study, water-soluble anionic beta-cyclodextrin derivatives were synthesized to improve the aqueous solubility of miconazole for the treatment of fungal keratitis. The results showed that the prepared complex significantly increased the solubility of miconazole and exhibited good antifungal efficacy.

Summary: A new supramolecular hydrogel that can transform into a covalently crosslinked hydrogel upon UV irradiation was developed. The presence of a cationic charge on anthracene side chains enhanced the binding affinity, facilitating hydrogel formation at lower concentrations. UV irradiation at different wavelengths demonstrated the reversible conversion to a chemical hydrogel, losing the dynamic nature responsible for shear-thinning behavior.

Summary: The magnetic hydrochar modified by 13-cyclodextrin showed excellent performance in the simultaneous removal of cadmium and anthracene. It exhibited fast adsorption equilibrium, high maximum monolayer binding capacity, and effective avoidance of competitive adsorption behavior between the two contaminants.

Summary: The study explored the key factors controlling Cd accumulation in the soil profile under actual field conditions, showing that phosphate fertilizer rates, parent material types, and precipitation affect Cd accumulation in agricultural soils. It was found that parent material is the decisive factor in determining the magnitudes and depths of exogenous Cd accumulation in the soil profile.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of six leaching agents on chromium elution from contaminated soil, finding that citric acid and oxalic acid had higher removal efficiencies. The combined eluent of oxalic acid and citric acid showed the best elution efficiency, with a total chromium removal rate of 62.0%. Citric acid is an environmentally friendly eluent that can avoid secondary pollution.

Summary: A stereospecific capillary electrophoresis method was developed for the separation of the novel antipsoriatic agent, apremilast (APR). Six anionic cyclodextrin (CD) derivatives were tested and succinyl-beta-CD was found to exhibit chiral interactions, but with an unfavorable enantiomer migration order. However, by changing the direction of electroosmotic flow through dynamic coating, the migration order reversal was achieved, allowing for the determination of enantiomeric purity.

Summary: The solubilizing effect of beta-cyclodextrin on the immunosuppressant fingolimod is studied for the first time. The study reveals a possible 20x increase in the solubility of fingolimod due to its interaction with beta-cyclodextrin. H-1 NMR spectroscopy and computer modeling provide insights into the configuration and stability of the resulting inclusion complexes, suggesting the formation of hydrogen bonds between the two molecules.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized a novel modified gangue material (MGE) from coal gangue and applied it to immobilize cadmium in contaminated soil. The results showed that the MGE had a large number of active groups on the surface, which facilitated the removal of Cd2+. Adsorption kinetics and isotherm models indicated that the adsorption behavior followed pseudo second-order and Langmuir models. Pot experiments demonstrated that the application of MGE significantly improved plant growth and reduced the content of available Cd2+ in the soil.

Summary: A novel and facile route for the synthesis of cyclodextrin-conjugated graphene oxide (CDs-GO) nanocomposites was developed in this study. The study showed that different types of CDs-GO exhibited high adsorption capacity towards Cd2+ with the adsorption process following the pseudo-second-order and Freundlich isotherm models.
