Summary: This large prospective study found an overall low rate of vesicourethral anastomotic stenosis after radical prostatectomy, but the rate was significantly lower after robot-assisted prostatectomy. The risk of stenosis seems to be associated with the number of sutures/takes in the anastomosis. Urinary incontinence was twice as common in patients with stenosis.

Summary: This study assessed the recovery of urinary incontinence following robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP) and its association with postoperative membranous urethral length (MUL) and position of vesico-urethral anastomosis (PVUA). The results showed that postoperative MUL and higher PVUA were independent factors for continence recovery, suggesting that preserving urethral length may contribute to continence recovery after RARP.

Summary: This study described the implementation of the da Vinci single-port (SP) system for robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) and its early outcomes. Results showed that the procedure was technically safe and feasible, with acceptable short-term functional and oncological outcomes. However, there is a technical learning curve due to the smaller operative field and decreased instrument flexibility.

Summary: This study describes the technical evolution and perioperative outcomes of vesicourethral anastomosis (VUA) in transvesical (TV) single-port robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (SP-RARP). The improved maneuverability of the robotic platform allowed for easier suturing within the bladder. With increasing surgical experience, there was a reduction in the number of sutures, shorter anastomosis time, and improved perioperative outcomes.

Summary: This study revealed that PVF and WS are significant factors associated with prolonged console time in RARP cases, while BMI and pelvic width are also practical factors. The occurrence rate of post-operative anastomotic leakage increased with the number of risk factors, but post-operative complications remained unchanged even in high-risk cases.

Summary: Robotic radical nephroureterectomy (RRNU) and laparoscopic radical nephroureterectomy (LRNU) offer comparable outcomes. RRNU is associated with a higher rate of bladder cuff excision, lower overall complications, and shorter length of stay compared to LRNU. LRNU is a negative predictor for achieving tetrafecta outcome.

Summary: The interaction between plant roots and microorganisms in the rhizosphere has a significant impact on plant growth and productivity. The components of root exudates are closely associated with the microbial population, particularly plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR). However, there is currently insufficient information available to develop effective bio-inoculation/bio-fertilizers for specific crops. It is necessary to identify suitable PGPR candidates to meet the needs of plant growth and yield.
