Summary: This study evaluated the characteristics of ELP-incorporated MTA as an endodontic sealer and found that ELP-incorporated MTA sealers showed higher push-out bond strength and flow rate, as well as better sealer penetration and wash-out resistance compared to commercial MTA sealers. The ELP-based experimental sealers also demonstrated more intimate contact with dentin than the commercial MTA sealers.

Summary: Electrodialysis is an efficient technology for recovering calcium from acid whey. The presence of calcium binding compounds reduces the extent of calcium removal. Lactate has a greater impact on removing calcium during Electrodialysis compared to citrate, despite citrate having a higher affinity for binding to calcium. pH affects citrate the most, and sugars have minor effects on calcium removal.

Summary: The study evaluated a new material containing tantalum oxide and a water-based gel compared with two calcium silicate-based cements. Results showed that the new material White-MTAFlow in 'thin' consistency exhibited comparable physicochemical, biological, and antimicrobial properties to ProRoot MTA and Biodentine, without causing color alteration in dentin.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of calcium coagulants on the textural properties of firm tofu. The results showed that the stress-strain behavior of tofu could be well modeled with the first order Ogden model. The addition of calcium increased the failure stress and rigidity of tofu, but beyond a certain concentration, these properties decreased.

Summary: This study evaluated the biocompatibility, bioactive potential, porosity, and dentin/material interface of BIOC-R, MTAHP, and IRM. The results showed that both BIOC-R and MTAHP were biocompatible and exhibited bioactive potential. MTAHP had higher porosity and presence of voids compared to the other materials.

Summary: In this study, different calcium phosphate phases were synthesized under varying pH conditions, and their bone regeneration, protein adsorption, and pro-angiogenic properties were investigated. The results demonstrated that pH played a crucial role in determining the synthesis of calcium phosphate phases. Structural and microscopic analyses revealed the characteristics and morphological changes of different phases. The prepared calcium phosphate phases exhibited excellent biocompatibility and bioactivity, with potential applications in biomedicine.

Summary: This study evaluated the potential of HDPs IDR1018 and DJK-6 associated with MTA extract in the repair process of human pulp cells. The results showed that the combination of HDPs and MTA could effectively reduce the formation of S. mutans biofilms within 24 hours and 7 days, and down-regulate the expression of IL-6. Additionally, the combination of HDPs and MTA promoted cell proliferation, cell migration, ALP activity, and the production of calcification nodules, suggesting their potential in the repair process of the pulp-dentine complex.

Summary: The aim of this study was to compare the physicochemical properties and biocompatibility between various calcium silicate-based bioceramic sealers (CSBSs) and the epoxy resin-based sealer AH Plus (AHP). The physical properties of CSBSs, including flow, setting time, radiopacity, dimensional stability, and pH, were evaluated according to the ISO 6876 standards. The biocompatibility of CSBSs was found to be higher than that of AHP, as assessed through cytotoxicity and cell attachment assays.

Summary: This study evaluated the push-out bond strength of different calcium silicate materials to root dentin in the presence or absence of a smear layer. The results showed that Biodentine had significantly higher bond strength compared to MTA and TotalFill FS, and removing the smear layer reduced the bond strength of all three materials.

Summary: The study compares the bond strength of three primary tooth root canal filling materials to the root canal wall. A push-out test was used to measure the bonding value of different sealers to root canal dentin. The results showed that BIOfactor MTA had the highest bonding value, while Calplus had the lowest.
