In this work, with the help of the generalized multipole technique and an efficient iterative procedure, the complex propagation constant of a plasmonic waveguide comprised of an infinite array of silver nanorods is computed. Our analysis takes into account metallic losses reported elsewhere using experimental methods. A finite array of only eight silver nanorods is also investigated here. The finite array is investigated for its capability of guiding light waves when excited by a plane wave at the specific wavelengths of the guided modes of the corresponding infinite array.
