Summary: Net-zero emissions targets are increasingly adopted globally, but there is a disconnect between policy mechanisms and technological requirements. The absence of CO2 removal incentives can increase costs and hinder complete decarbonization. The combination of a carbon tax and negative emissions credit is critical in achieving net-zero targets effectively.

Summary: In this study, we characterized the education received by breast cancer patients regarding the potential sexual health effects of treatment and explored their preferences in terms of format, content, and timing of education. The findings revealed that few patients received information about the sexual health effects, despite experiencing symptoms. Patients expressed a desire for early and frequent education throughout treatment, covering topics such as mitigation strategies, sexual function, partner intimacy, and body image changes.

Summary: One of the fundamental problems of using optimization models is the trade-off between model accuracy and computational tractability when using different time series as data input. To overcome computational intractability, traditional time series aggregation methods are commonly used to reduce the dimension of input data and model size. However, these methods often overlook the importance of the resulting output error in optimization results. In this paper, the authors challenge this belief and propose output-error based TSA methods with theoretical underpinnings, which have the potential of unprecedented computational efficiency and accuracy.

Summary: This article presents a conceptual model that explores mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion in digital inequalities. The model incorporates multiple indicators from both social and digital levels, going beyond traditional socio-demographic approaches. It makes a significant contribution to the understanding of inclusion and exclusion mechanisms.

Summary: Cells constantly accumulate mutations, which reflect the status of DNA repair machinery and the exposure to genotoxins. Mutational signatures can shed light on cancer origins. Experimental mutational patterns are crucial to understand specific signatures caused by certain deficiencies. This article describes the use of different cell lines and model organisms to decipher mutational signatures in cancer genomes and how data from different experimental systems complement each other.

Summary: Adaptation of physiology and behavior to seasonal changes is essential for survival. Common mechanisms, such as the circadian system, signaling molecules, and hormones, play a role in photoperiodic regulation. Understanding the relevance of these mechanisms in the face of climate change is important for humans as well.

Summary: The presentation and prognosis of esophageal cancer recurrence differ by site, with lung oligometastases showing a more indolent course and potentially benefiting from more aggressive treatment to improve outcomes. This study suggests that a personalized approach to treatment based on the site of recurrence may be beneficial for esophageal cancer patients.

Summary: In the last two decades, entrepreneurship policies have undergone significant changes in many countries. New theoretical and empirical approaches have provided better understanding of the drivers, actors, and contributions of entrepreneurship to socio-economic prosperity. It has been found that the drivers and outcomes of entrepreneurship are heavily influenced by regional factors. This paper discusses the impacts of these influences, examines current evidence, and identifies areas for further research.

Summary: This study found that Community Based Participatory Research with lay health promoters played an important role during the pandemic by deepening the understanding of marginalized citizens' role in community resilience and sustainability, and promoting health work. Public health authorities need to consider the local context in their pandemic strategies to reach vulnerable groups.
