Summary: Unsupervised cluster detection in social network analysis involves grouping social actors into distinct groups based on their attributes. This paper proposes a Quantum PSO approach for maximizing user similarity in order to detect social network user clusters. Experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms K-Mean and K-Mode algorithms in terms of three different performance metrics.

Summary: Joint image segmentation and registration is crucial in image preprocessing, but it is challenging due to sensitivity to noise. This study proposes an improved joint model using the Bhattacharyya distance measure to enhance noise robustness compared to existing models. The proposed model achieves satisfactory results in medical and synthetic noisy images, outperforming the existing model based on the Bhattacharyya distance measure.

Summary: Segmentation of gray matter tissue in spinal cord MRIs plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of neurological disorders. This study introduces a novel method, MobileUNetV3, based on deep convolutional neural networks, which achieves accurate segmentation of gray matter tissue and outperforms other methods in terms of evaluation metrics.

Summary: This article presents a method for calculating the friction coefficient in the laminar-turbulent transition based on the stochastic theory of turbulence and the regularity of equivalence of measures. The formula for the friction coefficient is proposed, taking into account the turbulence intensity, turbulence scale, velocity-profile index, and Reynolds number. By considering initial perturbations, the authors show that the equation for the friction coefficient obtained from a fully developed turbulent flow can also be derived for the laminar-turbulent transition. The calculated results of the friction coefficient agree well with experimental data.

Summary: Based on stochastic differential equations and the theory of equivalence of measures, this study investigates the dependence of hydraulic friction coefficient in a smooth round pipe on the intensity, scale, velocity profile index, and Reynolds number of laminar-turbulent flow of an incompressible fluid. The results show agreement with known experimental data and have implications for the development of new experimental instruments and theoretical-numerical simulation methods.

Summary: This study collected data on 14 morphological traits from 291 indigenous sheep in southern Punjab, Pakistan. The nature and strength of the relationship between live body weight and other morphological traits were analyzed using Pearson correlations. Regression models were built to predict live body weight based on 13 independent morphological traits. The study also reported descriptive statistics of body indices and morphological traits. The results showed significant variation in both body indices and morphological traits, with barrel depth being the best predictor of live body weight.

Summary: This study proposes a new complex q-ROFS method for decision-making in uncertain and imprecise information processing. It investigates vector similarity measures for Cq-ROFSs and IVCq-ROFSs, providing more options in similarity measurement. The feasibility of the proposed methods is demonstrated through numerical examples.

Summary: An industrial process involves interconnected devices, variables, and sub-processes, leading to correlations between different process variables and alarms. Operators may face challenges when dealing with multiple correlated alarms triggered by one fault. Therefore, it is crucial to identify and rectify correlated alarms. Various methods and techniques have been studied to measure the correlation or similarity between alarms, with results validated through Monte-Carlo simulation.
