Summary: Pullulan polysaccharide (PU) has been evaluated as a potential depressant in the flotation separation of molybdenite from talc, showing effective results under the reagent scheme of 40 mg/L PU, 160 mg/L butyl xanthate (BX), and 25 mu L/L MIBC. FTIR and XPS analyses demonstrate that BX can desorb the pre-adsorbed PU on the surface of the molybdenite by competitive adsorption, highlighting the potential for industrial application in the flotation separation of molybdenite from talc.

Summary: A copper-catalyzed enatiotopic-group-selective allylation of gem-diborylalkanes with allyl bromides was reported in this study. The combination of copper(I) bromide and H-8-BINOL derived phosphoramidite ligand proved to be the most effective catalytic system, providing various enantioenriched homoallylic boronate esters under mild conditions. Experimental and theoretical studies elucidated the reaction mechanism and revealed the enatiotopic-group-selective trans-metalation of gem-diborylalkanes with chiral copper complex.

Summary: Patients receiving anticancer drugs may experience loss of sexual desire and erectile dysfunction as adverse effects. It is important to recognize possible pharmacokinetic interactions when administering drugs to cancer patients. A sensitive sensor using carbon paste electrode modified with titanium dioxide nanoparticles and multi-walled carbon nanotubes was designed for the simultaneous determination of the anticancer drug avanafil and doxorubicin in rabbit plasma samples. The modified electrode showed improved sensitivity and separation between the oxidation peaks of AVN and DOX. The method was effective for analyzing AVN in real rabbit plasma samples and monitoring the possible pharmacokinetic interactions between AVN and DOX.
