The solubilities of desmosterol in methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, and acetonitrile were measured. The solubilities of desmosterol in these solvents increased with temperature and varied greatly with the solvent from a minimum of 0.1151 mol.L-1 in acetonitrile at 300.8 K to a maximum of 1.102 mol.L-1 in ethyl acetate at 332.8 K. The solubility values were correlated with the modified Apelblat equation. The calculated solubilities for all solvents showed good agreement with the experimental data in the temperature range studied.
