Summary: The novel bacterium ML27(T) was isolated from oyster homogenate in Rushan, Weihai, PR China. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that ML27(T) represents a new genus within a novel family of the order Cardiobacteriales, named Ostreibacterium oceani gen. nov., sp. nov. This suggests the establishment of a new family, Ostreibacteriaceae fam. nov., to accommodate the genus Ostreibacterium.

Summary: A novel actinobacterium, named Nonomuraea cypriaca sp. nov., was isolated from soil in Northern Cyprus and characterized using a polyphasic approach. The strain exhibited distinct genomic features and was found to be phylogenetically different from other Nonomuraea species. This study proposes the recognition of strain K274(T) as a novel species within the genus Nonomuraea.
