Summary: This study aimed to assess the Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) of Italian children and their parents with coeliac disease using the Coeliac Disease Dutch Questionnaire (CDDUX). The Italian version of the CDDUX questionnaire was found to be a valid and reliable tool for evaluating HRQoL in children and adolescents with CD, showing significant differences in HRQoL among populations of different nationalities. The main clinical variable affecting HRQoL in both children and parents was found to be lower age.

Summary: The study aimed to assess the health-related quality of life (HRQL) of food-allergic patients compared to the general population and those with other chronic diseases. Results showed that food-allergic patients had better HRQL in certain domains compared to healthy controls and other chronic disease patients, but had poorer overall health perception. While most food-allergic children had been prescribed an epinephrine autoinjector, only slightly over half of them carried it with them at all times.

Summary: This study developed and validated a health-related quality of life instrument called the HRQ-6D, aiming to measure an individual's HRQOL within a 24-hour period. Through the questionnaire development and testing process involving five phases, six domains were identified, and the HRQ-6D was found to be reliable, valid, and significantly associated with clinical evidence.

Summary: This study is the first to find that oral health problems are associated with the disease-specific quality of life (QoL) of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients, and vice versa. This emphasizes the potential advantages of including dental professionals in the multi-disciplinary treatment teams of IBD patients.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the predictive value of quality of life (QoL) on outcomes in adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) and heart failure (HF). The study results showed that patients with poor QoL experience severe events more frequently, thus highlighting the importance of evaluating QoL and implementing rehabilitation programs to alter their trajectory.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of vericiguat compared with placebo on health status outcomes in heart failure patients. The Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire was used to measure the outcomes. The results showed that vericiguat did not significantly improve the KCCQ scores compared with placebo. However, vericiguat reduced the risk of cardiovascular death or heart failure hospitalization across the range of baseline health status.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) among patients with heart failure (HF) in Jordan and explore factors associated with poor HRQOL. The study found that the number of HF medications and not taking a loop diuretic significantly increased HRQOL, while the number of other chronic diseases, higher NYHA classes, low monthly income, and being unsatisfied with prescribed medications significantly decreased HRQOL.
