Summary: The study focused on clinical-radiographic outcomes and prosthesis survivorship of ankle arthritis patients with poor talar body bone stock treated with a talar body prosthesis (TBP) over a 6 to 13 year period. Significant improvements in pain, function, and prosthesis survival rate were observed post-operatively.

Summary: A retrospective analysis of 125 patients undergoing HoLEP found favorable outcomes at 6 months and 10 years postoperatively, with almost 75% of patients still experiencing symptom relief after a decade. Older age at surgery and incomplete recovery from incontinence postoperatively were identified as major predictors for symptomatic recurrence at long-term follow-up.

Summary: The study followed 19 patients for 60 months post-AMIC treatment, and found that the Foot Function Index (FFI) gradually decreased while the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Score (AOFAS) increased at 24 and 60 months follow-up. AMIC combined with cancellous bone graft showed efficacy and feasibility for osteochondral defects of the talus.

Summary: Estimating the size of hard-to-reach populations using the network scale-up method involves asking respondents how many individuals of interest they know, and utilizes various estimators like direct estimators, maximum likelihood estimators, and Bayesian estimators. This method has been applied to estimate the size of subpopulations and involves complex considerations regarding assumptions, relationships between estimators, and practical implementation. The article provides an in-depth analysis of aggregated relational data properties and data collection techniques, as well as a comprehensive review of different estimation methods, their assumptions, and practical considerations.

Summary: This study investigated the association between exposure to certain chemicals in crude oil and the risk of coronary heart disease among oil spill workers. The results showed that higher exposures to these chemicals were associated with modest increases in the risk of coronary heart disease, but no exposure-response trends were observed.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the long-term outcomes of patients with pure ground-glass opacity (GGO)-featured lung adenocarcinoma 10 years after surgery. The study included 308 cases and found that the 10-year recurrence-free survival rate was 100% and the overall survival rate was 96.9%. Surgery is an effective treatment for curing pure GGO-featured lung adenocarcinoma.
