Summary: This study investigated the coordination function of electric fields (EFs) on wound healing and found that EF promotes wound contraction and re-epithelialization, accelerating the healing process. In vitro experiments demonstrated that EFs promote cell migration and collagen secretion. These findings support the continued development of EF for wound treatment applications.

Summary: The application of amniotic membrane on chronic wounds has shown effectiveness in resetting wound healing, particularly in re-epithelialization. Amniotic membrane affects wound healing by modulating cell signaling pathways and growth factors. Additionally, it influences protein expression in epithelial cells, promoting the progression of re-epithelialization.

Summary: This study investigated the potential of using Copaifera langsdorffii oleoresin combined with nanostructured lipid carriers for wound healing. The results demonstrated that this treatment promoted wound retraction and tissue remodeling, with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, suggesting it as a potential alternative treatment for skin wounds.

Summary: The study reveals that molecular hydrogen treatment can promote wound healing and is directly linked to extracellular matrix deposition and epidermal stem cell activation. High concentrations of molecular hydrogen significantly increase the healing rate, stimulate cell proliferation and differentiation, and have multiple beneficial effects on wound healing.

Summary: Fundamental knowledge about cell-surface interactions can be used in the development of wound dressings and scaffolds that promote wound healing. Plasma-coating wound dressings with acid-functionalised monomers or amine functionalisation can enhance cell adhesion, proliferation, and migration. In an in vivo study on mice, dressings coated with allylamine showed increased wound healing rate and reduced wound area, while prolonged treatment with allylamine-functionalised dressings may impair healing. Acrylic acid functionalisation did not improve early wound healing, but promoted collagen deposition at a later stage. This suggests that plasma polymerisation can lead to the development of new dressings that enhance wound closure by directing cell behavior, but a timed approach may be necessary for their application.
