Summary: A setup comprising an injection valve, a hand-made chromatographic microcolumn, and an electrochemical detector was presented for the simultaneous separation of Hg2+ and Ag+ ions in water. The SPCE performance towards ions was initially studied in a FIA setup, followed by evaluation of ion separation efficiency. The reproducibility, stability, and regeneration of the microcolumns were also investigated and discussed.

Summary: This study demonstrates that growth solutions prepared via the partial substitution of potassium with strontium can generate purely-crystalline chabazite within hours without the need for either organics or crystal seeds. Strontium inclusion in seed-assisted syntheses significantly impacts the kinetics of chabazite formation, leading to reduced crystallization time when compared with pure potassium syntheses.

Summary: Alkaline earth metal vanadates, such as Na2CaV4O12, have potential applications in electro-chemical devices due to their unique properties. This study prepared Na2CaV4O12 at extremely low temperatures and observed its semiconductor behavior with a bandgap of 2.92 eV. The material exhibited ionic conduction at elevated temperatures, showing a correlation between ionic conductivity and phase structure. Bond valence-based energy landscape calculations revealed the diffusion mechanisms of sodium and oxide ions in different layers of the material. This novel semiconductor ceramic has potential applications in all-solid sodium ions batteries or solid oxide fuel cells as electrolytes.

Summary: A series of NdV/Ti-x% catalysts were prepared by a microwave-assisted deposition-precipitation method and their catalytic performance for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by NH3 was investigated. The amount of vanadate added significantly influenced the SCR activity of the catalyst. The NdV/Ti-x% catalysts demonstrated good low-temperature catalyst activities and excellent SO2 resistance performances.

Summary: Sodium vanadate (Na5V12O32) nanowires, produced by hydrothermal synthesis, show a high removal rate of 93.6% for harmful lead ions (Pb2+) from aqueous solutions, with the highest removal capacity of about 2170 mg g(-1). This investigation presents a highly potential method for removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions using vanadate nanowires.

Summary: A novel cation-deficient nonstoichiometric Zn-0.3(NH4)(0.3)V4O10·0.91H2O (ZNV) cathode material for aqueous zinc batteries (AZBs) was reported in this research, exhibiting high discharge capacity and superior cycle stability. Both experiments and theoretical simulations demonstrated that the presence of cation vacancies facilitates Zn2+ diffusion during cycles.

Summary: This article reports a method of generating frequency combs based on cavity electromechanical devices and investigates the characteristics of frequency combs in two mechanical modes. The experimental results show that the tooth spacing and spectral features of the frequency comb vary in different modes. This work reveals the effect of mechanical mode competition on the properties of frequency combs.

Summary: Pd-doped BiVO4 with different amounts of palladium was synthesized successfully using a domestic microwave-assisted method in an aqueous medium. XPS spectra confirmed the presence of Pd2+ species in Pd-doped BiVO4, while the valence state of Bi was observed as Bi3+. Pd doping changed the phase structure of BiVO4 from tetragonal to monoclinic, resulting in a mixture of monoclinic and tetragonal phase in Pd-doped BiVO4.
