Crystal growth and optical characteristics of Er3+:LiLa(MoO4)(2) crystals were investigated. The Er3+:LiLa(MoO4)(2) crystal up to circle divide 21 x 33 mm(3) was grown by Czochralski method. The hardness of Er3+:LiLa(MoO4)(2) crystal is 371.2 VDH. The specific heat at 50 degrees C is 0.41jg(-1)K(-1). The absorption spectra, fluorescence spectra and the fluorescence decay curve of Er3+:LiLa(MoO4)(2) crystal were measured at room temperature. Some spectroscopic parameters such as the intensity parameters, the spontaneous transition probabilities, the fluorescence branching ratios, the radiative lifetimes and the emission cross-sections were estimated.
