Summary: The study suggests that the dynamic fluctuations of serum microRNAs could predict the efficacy of antiviral therapy for CHB. There were differences in the expression levels of microRNAs between responder and non-responder groups at baseline and after therapy, with some microRNAs correlated with hepatitis B virus DNA titer and e antigen.

Summary: This study evaluated the expression levels of miRNA-196a in HCV-infected patients and those treated with Sofosbuvir plus Daclatasvir. The results showed a decrease in miRNA-196a levels in naive HCV-infected patients and an increase in those treated with Sofosbuvir plus Daclatasvir. Further research is needed to explore the potential therapeutic role of miR-196a for HCV-infected patients.

Summary: Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) play a crucial role in hematological malignancies, affecting bone marrow environment, immune system, drug resistance, and therapies. EVs collected from serum of leukemia samples have potential as biomarkers for disease pattern distinctions. This study aims to investigate the potential role and methodology of serum-derived EVs as biomarkers in leukemic versus healthy samples.

Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major cause of cancer death worldwide. Late diagnosis and limited treatment options contribute to the low survival rate of patients with HCC. Currently, combining ultrasound with the biomarker AFP is a commonly used screening method, but its clinical utility and operator-dependence are controversial.

Summary: This study found a positive correlation between serum RRM2 and liver fibrosis stage in CHB patients, indicating that RRM2 has the potential to be a biomarker for diagnosing and monitoring liver fibrosis. RRM2 can effectively differentiate between preliminary fibrosis and advanced fibrosis in CHB patients and performs better than other commonly used noninvasive methods and classic fibrotic biomarkers.

Summary: This study utilized a large miRNA-profiled serum samples repository to identify two miRNA pairs that can accurately diagnose glioma and differentiate it from other brain diseases. These findings provide potential population screening and cancer-specific biomarkers for glioma clinical practice.

Summary: The study aimed to identify non-invasive miRNA markers for early pancreatic cancer diagnosis. A total of 39 miRNA markers were selected from blood serum samples to build a PC diagnosis model, which showed excellent performance in independent sample validation and differential expression in samples from PC patients.

Summary: Serum HBV RNA in HBeAg-negative chronically infected patients primarily consists of pgRNA and a minor fraction of preC mRNA transcripts. Serum pgRNA is associated with disease activity and can serve as a marker for the decision of cessation of therapy.

Summary: This study investigated the changes in miRNA expression induced by DON in porcine liver, jejunum, and serum. The serum miRNA response to DON increased over time and declined after removal of contaminated diets. Receiver operating curve analyses for individual miRNAs were significant, and a combination of four miRNAs increased the predictive capacity for DON exposure.

Summary: Chronic allograft dysfunction (CAD) is a major condition affecting long-term kidney graft survival. In this study, the correlation between plasma miR-21 and the severity of CAD was investigated. RNA sequencing was performed and differentially expressed miRNAs in CAD were identified. MiR-21-5p, miR-20a-5p, and miR-101-3p were found to be associated with the TGF-beta pathway and CAD. These findings may lead to the development of early prediction miRNA biomarkers and therapeutic tools for CAD in the field of kidney transplantation.

Summary: This study explores the diagnostic value of ABCA1-labeled exosomal miR-135a for Alzheimer's disease, especially in early stages. Results indicate that the levels of ABCA1 exosomes from HT-22 cells and neuron culture medium were significantly higher compared to RBCs and WBCs, showing promise for early AD diagnosis.
